We visited at the beginning of Dec 2002 and I have to agree with the others with the big tree before entering the park and I didn't do Donald's breakfast but also heard the rumors of them dressing up. Next time I'll make it a point to go and check it out
In addition though, there were smaller size Christmas trees over in Camp Mickey. The characters I saw Mickey, Minnie and Goofy were all dressed for the holidays but it was Goofy in the Santa suit and it was Goofy's hut that was the most decorated including the big ol' Santa chair. Later we spotted Tigger on the way into the Dinoland area, on the right just before the space where Pooh and gang can be seen on the dock thing. Tigger was basically out in the open and he was wearing a winter hat with scarf.
In Dinoland the Dino that stretches across then entrance was wearing a Santa hat. There was also a large snowman close to the shop by Privmeval Whirl.
I can't remember anything back by Asia or Africa. There might have been but I don't recall anything.
Now what I was bummed about...no santa hat on the MGM EARfel tower (water tower, that is what they call it right? *lol*) I don't know if it is done only for promoting in pictures and stuff or if they normally do put it up. Someone said it wasn't up due to some strong winds knocking it off, now if that was true or not I don't know.
But back to the AK, the decorations I saw were beautiful. They did a great job.
