AirTran Luggage question

It's our first time flying Air Tran, so quick question. When and where do you pay for your luggage? And what about when travelling back home?

On our way in, we paid at the ticket desk when we checked in. When we were leaving to come home, I prepaid over the phone. HTH!

You can pay online with your cc. We always do the check-in the day before and pay for our checked luggage at that time. Disney resorts provide airline check-in service. We paid for our luggage over the phone and got a confirmation number, then told the Disney CM at the airline check-in desk. He printed out our boarding passes and tagged our luggage. Disney will transport your luggage to the airport, even if you aren't using DME. It's a nice service.

Yes, you can pay online both ways. When you get to the airport, they'll double check the weight and size of your luggage. We always do curbside check-in, so we don't even have to drag our luggage into the airport. If you do the luggage check-in at a Disney resort, they'll verify that your luggage is o.k.

If you are planning on using RAC and want to pay your baggage fees online ahead on time, then DON'T check in. If you check in, then you are locked out of the RAC system and cannot get your boarding passes or your baggage tagged to return to the airport. This happened to a person standing in front of us last December.

If you have to check-in to pay for your bags on the return home, and want to use RAC, then call the number as shown on the paperwork that is dropped off at your resort room the day before.
