Just thought to give everyone a heads up, Disney seems to be having some kind of special on airfare in connection with Airtran.

Our travel dates are 9/1 - 9/7 (free dining), MSP to MCO. Disney booked us Airtran non stop flights for $158 per person round trip. Checking Orbitz shows $218 per person (plus taxes/fees) for the exact same flight.

So if your're booking through Disney travel at least have them give you a quote on airfare.

I had exactly the same experience last May for travel last November. I did all my research and knew exactly what flights I wanted. I called Disney to solidify my room reservations and the CM asked if she could look up airfare for me. I figured it couldn't hurt.

I was quoted a price of about $100 less PER TICKET through WDTC as comapred with AirTran's own website!!! In fact, while I was on the phone with her I went back to AirTran's website just to make sure, and incredibly, Disney was cheaper than the airline itself!

Do you have to do that on the phone, or is there a way to check WDW travel fares online?

I'm calling Disney Reservations right now to see what they have for October out of Indy. I'll report back in a minute.....

Well, I should have thought of this, but I don't have a resort reservation as of yet for October so they could not check airfare for me, but thanks for letting us know about the possible discount.

Do you have to book a package to get airfare through Disney? I have an AP and usually book room only.
