Check your Airtran flights! Our flights at the end of January between MKE and MCO just dropped from $95 that we paid to $79. They have been sitting at $128 for weeks, I got them on sale for $95 awhile back.

Our flights in March for MKE to MCO are still $128 BUT there are about 50% of them that are down to $79 on our flight days. We have nonstop flights and the ones that have dropped to $79 have layovers in Atlanta, etc. so they probably aren't booking as well as the nonstop flights.

Check your flights and call for your credits to your Airtran A+ rewards account if your flight prices have dropped since you booked!

Happy New Year! :woohoo:

Are they supposed to charge you a $15.00 service for calling on the phone to change it. They gave me the credit for two people but they charged $30.00 to do it.

Nope. Call back and tell them that you booked online but called for the cheaper fair and you were accidently charged the $30 fee. They will reverse it.

I hope they drop out of MSP soon!

Part of my family is flying from MSP for our March trip and the prices there haven't dropped at all for any of the flights. Not sure why...

Thanks for posting OP! I checked our March flights out of CLT and they dropped $52 each!

Check your flights again! Our March flight to MCO just dropped $13 to $115. I got a $52 credit for the four of us. MCO back to MKE is still at $128 but I'm watching...

Fellow MKE flyer here...we are flying SW to TPA at the end of Feb. and I just posted that ours went down on the outbound by $12. Sure wish the return fare would drop! I'm totally jealous of your airfare prices. We had to go with SW because of the flexibility of changing our dates/flight etc. due to our mother's illness. Hope you have a great trip!

And a day later...

MKE to MCO just dropped to $79 and MCO back to MKE dropped to $115! I just got another $196 credit for the 4 of us on top of the $52 credit I got last night!

I keep checking fares from Indianapolis to MCO for June and they have not dropped much at all....I'm getting nervous about waiting and the plane filling up....7 of us flying and 3 have never flown before, I really need some seats together....could someone give me some advice....thanks

Hi Inkmahm!

What day of the week are you flying? I keep checking my first week of June prices out of IND, but we are flying out on a Friday and back on a Monday, so where they are at $96 each way may be as good as it gets?? We won't be flying within the year so if I booked now and they went down, the credit would do me no good :sad2: Thought about booking at least one way and then if they went down, use the credit to book the other way. What to do. . .what to do. . .

I'd probably book at least one way at $96. A few weeks ago I booked our way down at $87. The way back is at $111 right now. I'm waiting it out. I'm hoping for maybe a small credit, but if I don't get a credit I can live with the $111 if it doesn't drop. I have noticed that a few other airports we've flown out of have had a price drop. I'm hoping for some pixie dust. :wizard:

Tuesday to Tuesday. But the current sale only is valid for dates through May 16 I think. You'll have to wait awhile yet for sale prices that apply to early June.

I would book but not book my seat assignment. Then use any future credit for price decrease towards seats (we always do exit row and then upgrade to business class.)

I hope they drop out of MSP soon!

Mine haven't moved anyway but up. We bought for $139 after taxes (for one way) and it has moved up to, and is still sitting at, $285/person ONE WAY. Glad I bought when I did!

Okay, so you can use your credit toward seat assignments?? I had just thought about that an hour ago and wondered if that was possible?

I saw that the sale was through May 16, so I went in and plugged in May dates to see what prices were, and still on the Fridays and Mondays they hadn't dropped-were still at $96 even though some other days were lower, so that's why I'm thinking I may get no better than that. The seat assignment deal might help me make my decision today!:thumbsup2

Indynanny - just keep your eye out. I booked a flight from IND to MCO in Oct for Feb travel and only paid $454 for 3 round trip tickets ($65/flight/person). NONSTOP!

Those fares were for Southwest Flights, so our bags fly free too!

So, keep your eye out. Southwest has deals fairly regularly. Sometimes they only last 2 or 3 days, so if it's what you would consider to be a reasonable fare, be sure to jump on it and buy the tickets!

ugh you guys are lucky! I keep looking at flights for our April trip and the flight there just keeps going up and up. I should have booked it awhile ago, but there's still time I suppose :(

Hops&dreams, can you tell me what days of the week you are flying? I am checking both Airtran and Southwest out of IND. We have always flown Airtran because they used to fly out of our closer airport, but now that we are going to Indy we have the option of SW. Airtran usually showed cheaper fares midweek, but SW isn't really showing that. The SW fares are about the same across the board for the weeks I am looking at anyway. Your $65 sounds soooooo good;) and if that was about 4 months out, there is still hope!
