I was hoping someone could recomment or suggest an airport hotel with maybe a shuttle from the airport to the hotel? We are arriving late evening on 6/22/06 and my timeshare doesn't begin until 6/23/06. I was hoping to stay near the airport, crash for the night and then start fresh the next morning by picking up the rental car and spending a leisurely day wandering around on our way to Orange Lake Country Club.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A few suggestions....

Lower priced... LaQuinta and Fairfield Inn and Suites. My brother has stayed in both of these and said they were good.

For true ease at a price, you can't beat the Hyatt IN the airport. No shuttles to deal with, but it's more expensive.

If it's just too of you consider PL. (See www.biddingfortravel.com for details on hotels that come up in that area)

Last April we stayed at the Marriott at MCO. It was a great hotel. The shuttle picked us up at 1:00am in the airport, within 5 minutes of my call. It took about 3 minutes to get to the hotel. The next day they shuttled us back to the airport to pick up our rental car. We slept in, got our car, and came back and hung out at their pool. I wish we would have stayed there our entire trip. Everyone was so nice. I booked the room with EasyClick Travel for around $50.

Thanks for the reply..............the Hyatt loooks absolutely gorgeous and would be extremely convenient, but ned to check with hubby regarding that price. WOW....even on hotels.com, it is $200.00 per night.

I'll look into the others you mentioned, but need something really close to the airport with a shuttle, so I can get over to the hotel without having to pick up the rental until the next day. There's no point to picking up the rental at 11:30 PM....don't even know if they would be open at that time of night.

Thanks Hens......I didn't see your response until after I posted the above. This is exactly what is happening with us.........Wil definitely look into that hotel too.

All of the ones posted have shuttles.

I got into the Hyatt at the airport for $35 on Priceline last April (on the first bid!) This is a huge, empty hotel. No need to pay more.

Have stayed at the Renaissance which was good for the price of $50 at Priceline. Have also stayed that the Holiday Inn Select they both have shuttles.

Quick question y'all......................how soon before you went did you place Priceline bids? Shelemm...I know you were only 2-3 days before hand, but what about the rest of you? I think I am way too early to be bidding at this point, but considering we are traveling end of June...I don't want to have everything "all booked up". I have reviewed the www.biddingfortravel.com site, which is were I found that most were bidding right before their dates.

Any suggestions? or ideas?

Geneally the Hyatt tends to hold their rooms till late. Also, it does NOT appear to be coming up near as often as it used to over on www.biddingfortravel.com Last year I really think was a fluke on thier part for the $35 bids. I got one of them, but.... I don't expect to see it again.
