Hi !!!

Wich airport is the best for our arrival for a trip to Disneyland ? We will be only there.

And what do you recommand for the transfert to our Disney resort ? (taxi, shuttle, bus...)

Thank you !!!!!

SNA (Santa Ana) Orange County Airport is the closest. I have read that you can often get a better price coming into LAX or even Burbank. I personally would rather come into SNA as it is only 15 minutes down the freeway. It has been a long time since I flew in. We took the shuttle bus to the Disneyland area. I am not sure what they have now. Here is a link to that airports website.

SNA is best if you aren't renting a car. Long Beach is a reasonable alternative if a rental car is in your plans.

Can anyone tell me what the drive times (assuming you are renting a car) would be from each airport to DL.

This is LA, so time of day really dictates what the drive time will be. -- We live in Santa Clarita, 20 minutes (without traffic) from Burbank. It takes us between 1 hour and 1 hour 20 minutes mid morning from Santa Clarita.

I really like Burbank airport. Very low key.

How about 11:30am on a Monday morning or 12:30 pm on a Tuesday?

SNA 15
LGB 25-30
ONT 35-35
BUR 60-70
LAX 75

The time getting from the terminal to the counter (shuttle if required) and on the road is a whole different story and a completely legitimate thing to consider.

LGB 5-10
SNA 10-20
BUR 10-20
ONT 15-25
LAX 25-45

So it's 2 hours + for LAX.

I think I'll try SNA or ONT.

(At the risk of sounding dumb, what is LGB and what airlines fly into it?)

LGB is Long Beach. I highly recommend flying into SNA..aka John Wayne Airport, Orange County Airport and Santa Ana Airport. If there is 3 of you a taxi will be about the same price as Super Shuttle and you have a straight shot to your hotel. Air prices change daily so check on them frequently. Last time we went from Seattle to SNA it was $30.00pp cheaper than LAX and alot closer. LAX traffic is way too unpredictable, travel time to resort could be 40 minutes or 2 hrs. Ontario is too far out and the Super Shuttle is 3 times more expensive from that airport. I know I checked on it for a client. I believe it was $60.00 pp round trip.

Have a great time :smooth:

What about on site (SNA) car rental agencies-we would like to rent a car but don't like to shuttle off for one?

Car rentals are off site and you would have to be shuttled. If you just want a car for a day or two check with your hotel. We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and the guest services arranged for a car and it was delivered to the hotel and we dropped it off there too. I know the rental company delivers to other hotels in the area because I asked. We didn't need a car the whole time so this worked out great for us.
