1. AM shops Apple bought the kiddo a laptop as looks like we are remote learning. Buy a Mac get free AirPods..(moms for treadmill gotta lose the covid19 pounds do we still have that fitness health thread going )

OMG, guys, guys!! My amazon order posted and the MegaMiles too!! I'm in shock. I honestly can't tell if it's 10 points for the $200 gift card I bought or the purchase of the actual items.

Now what will mess it up, I have to return the cover I bought because it's the wrong one and buy a replacement. I am still over $150 though, it was over $200 before taxes so should still be ok for the megamiles... I hope.

You will get one sponsor done airmiles.ca shop but it won't count for the Apple purchase.

If you can find Apple gift cards at one of these places using your BMO master card

sorry for not being clear about that! Yes, using your Mastercard at any of the sponsors/partners thru the online portal WILL work towards both your online coupon and your Mastercard threshold spend.

I think the only sponsors who have online stores thru the portal are, staples, Lowe's rona in Ontario.

With the frustations I had with my two Staples orders that would have been the last straw. So relieved to hear I'm good.

I online chatted with Airmiles yesterday about Rachelle Bery stores in Quebec and the Mega Miles offer. Most Rachelle Bery stores are inside an IGA. The Airmiles rep assured me that the Rachelle Bery offer will work. It may post as IGA (have to pay at the IGA cashier) but they will make the adjustment later if needed. A little chasing to be done possibly but for anyone who needs this offer to complete the 5 it may be worth it. Yes it is easier to go to a stand alone store but those are not easy to find in all regions.

(this doesn't apply to most of us but thought I would post this for anyone who can take advantage of the offer)

Off to go purchase with my "anything in the store" offers at Sobeys.

We had our oil changed at Jiffy Lube this morning. They had complete confusion regarding Megamiles. Eventually I insisted they just scan the coupon and the Air Miles card and the bonus miles popped up on their screen. Here's how it posts on the receipt.

Assuming I don't have the issues some of you had with Staples, I'm done!

1. Staples ordered a new Chromebook for DS for school
2. Charged Staples to my BMO m/c, plus gas and groceries yesterday, well over the $500 total
3. Went through airmilesshop for Staples
4. Sobeys for groceres (got over 500AM here, it was like a blue friday of old! DS goes through rice cakes an cheerios like crazy, they were perfect items for me)
5. Fill up at Shell

Got my groceries at Sobeys this morning, spent $151 before taxes so that worked out. I had wanted to get TP they had on sale since I had a bonus AM offer for 20 AM on it but they didn't have any. My buy anything didn't work, but I'll have to go back this week for that TP and probably more rice cakes so I'll wait and see if it works then. They didn't have the "big plain" rice cakes kiddo wanted, only big ones were cheddar or tomato basil so I didn't get them, got 10 bags of the little ones though. They also didn't have any breakfast sausages which kiddo loves. So I'll need those later this week too. Not sure when they restock the store but I'll try on Tuesday and hope for the best.

That's 3 down, 2 to go. Children's Place has to wait until the 24th and the BMO one I need to spend a bit more still to get to 250. If I make it to 500 great, if not, as long as I get it done!

What a morning chasing a bottle of wine down.....(it is Aug 16).
Checked LCBO website,,,ok it's available at LCBO close by...
Get there,,,,,they don't have any even though the website say they have 10.
Ok I leave and go to another LCBO,,,they don't have any but say that the first store I was at has 10,,,so they call for me and yes the first store has them,,they hold a bottle for me.
OK I drive back to first store and pick it up BUT no airmiles posted on the receipt....so I am thinking I'll chat,,,chat is closed. By now I need a strong cup of coffee.
So now I have this very expensive bottle of wine and I don't know if it qualifies for the 20 airmiles and 1 sponsor. It will make a nice gift because I don't drink wine.
I'll call airmiles tomorrow.
Edited to add this is very weird as I have never had LCBO miles not turn up on a receipt.

Epic fail at Safeway yesterday. Because there are no physical coupons, I thought they could punch in the code that the AM app says to show to cashier. Well the code didn’t work. Customer service gave me the My Offers phone number and said they take care of all the bonus offers and will make it right. Wrong! They said Mega Miles is an AM promo and has nothing to do with them. I spent $174, rarely spend much over $100 there so won’t likely be able to re-do this offer. I should have printed a coupon from the site but figured why would they have the code in the app if it doesn’t work. Is it worth me contacting AM now or wait until promo is over and I don’t get the correct bonus because this one is missing?

In the past, when I tried to use a R-B coupon at a R-B health store (those inside IGA), I was told nope, those are only valid at the R-B grocery stores. Rachelle-Béry health stores (usually green lettering) and the grocery store (red lettering) even have separate flyers so it made sense. Hopefully, that changed and the AM rep was right. I will still use my offers at the actual Rachelle-Béry grocery stores because I want to be 100% certain it will work but please let me know if it works when using them at the health store.

It may be slightly different this time because there are no coupon involved. You have to opt in for the coupon so using 95Cash AM is the only thing the store will see. I don't like that our fate remains in the hands of Airmiles to get the coupons/opt-in correct. I will only use it as a last resort.

I am thinking about calling AM mid week if things don't post on DH account re Staples. DS account has had base miles from Airmileshops post as well as base miles from Staples. Still waiting to see the two bonuses from Mega Miles. (I can prove those with screenshots and paperwork later if needed)

GAWD i hate these promos at times, and even more so during the first week or when new coupons get added and I'm afraid this year will be even worse. Most stores will have NO idea that Mega Miles is even happening because they didn't receive information about it, no booklets, no signs (that I've seen yet anyway) and a ton of new cashiers who have no idea nor do they care about Airmiles in the first place!

To answer the questions about Safeway:

1. YES, they should have been able to use the code in the app because it states right in the offer and on the coupon "Show Barcode" It should have been scanable (is that a word?) and if not then keying in the code should have worked.
2. There are 2 different types of offers from the Sobey's chain - ones that are in flyers or promos like this direct from Airmiles and the ones that are targeted and called "My Offers" 2 separate departments, 2 separate ways to chase down miles that don't talk to each other
3. You can go ahead and use either the online chat, Facebook Messenger(open 24/7 BTW) or phone and "maybe" (BIG maybe that depends on the agent you connect with, some will others will play the company line of wait X days)they will post the miles to your account immediately. HOWEVER, and this applies to ANY missing miles, all they will post as is "missing miles" there will be NO connection to Mega Miles no matter how much the agent promises you, you will still need to chase them down once the promo ends and posts.

The last point #3 needs frequent repeating and I will do it again in a separate post and update it on the first page. Chasing down miles right now will serve NO purpose unless you are wanting those miles right now for something urgent (maybe you have your eye on an item in the merchandise section or you need the cash miles to apply to groceries next week) I suggest just waiting till the promo wraps up. This is when it is EXTREMELY important to keep every single scrap of paper, receipt, copies of coupons bundled up together in a safe spot, you can't get the miles if you have no proof. So unless you enjoy taking time to chat twice, I suggest finding a way to get rid of the current anger (which is justifiable IMHO) -- I'm making bread, good release while kneading the dough and then trust that you will be able to get the miles eventually.

That was going to be my suggestion! It shouldn't be a problem, I know they do returns to help out with large orders for parties etc, that way you aren't stuck with a case of wine after a wedding (not that I'd know about this!!) I can only sit down in between stages of my bread making and didn't have enough time to add this comment about your wine after i took far too long making my other post

When there are no AM promotions, I just take the items and pay them with the rest of my groceries at the IGA checkout counters.
