I've never ordered online from Staples before. I need a new paper shredder which is $80 but I'll add in some office supplies (don't need them right now but I will by year end) to make it to $150. Do they ship everything in one order or are they like Amazon and divide it up? What about in store pick up...would that mess up the MM coupons?

BTW....I was going to get the wine for my 5th but I'm not keen to spend $37 on a bottle that I probably won't like.

So even though you spent more than the required $150, you will have to follow up after Megamiles is over because your order was shipped in separate batches? I am curious because of my own order on Amazon.ca. I spent $200, but the order was divided into three shipments. I printed out the original order showing the total spend. Should I expect to have a fight on my hands?

Yes. If they split it up they charge it in the smaller amounts and I don't think I've heard of anyone having the AM post properly for that. For these types of promos I would try and purchase something "big" enough to be the dollar amount alone or, for amazon, do the "reload credit card trick" that @Donald - my hero outlines as that can't be split up. It's annoying for sure.

I have had to in the past. I am waiting for the points to post and I will let you know. This time I was lucky for the mega miles that all items shipped together. I ordered on Sunday and they arrived yesterday. I didn't even receive a shipping notice but they are all here together.

I bought thru Staples via the online shop and I have received my items already today and now I wait for the airmiles to show up. I will be fighting one of the last promotions because I spent $176 and I earned 1 measly airmile - yes only 1 because they shipped my order in 5 separate orders. I have taken screen captures of every screen every time now so I am prepared for the battle. Let the games begin.

For curiosity sake what day did you place your order. I have issues with an order that met all the requirements and was placed on Aug 13. Staples had an internal issue that day that upset a lot of orders.

Not a fight exactly, but they will ask a lot of questions and may ask for some copies of receipts etc. Its just a big PITA. I will be argung for my missing AM after the fact as I'm looking at 400 missing miles.

I placed my order on Friday Aug 15 and it was shipped and received on Aug 17. It is funny that I just got an email today saying that my order had shipped but I received it last night. Now I just have to wait for the airmiles to post.

Just back from brick and mortar Staples. I purchased $121.65BT. Coupon code is showing on the receipt but no AM. I guess this is normal? I haven't shopped there in store in a long time. Gawd this one better work out!

Back on track (I think) and just waiting for Reno Depot and RONA window to open up to finish things up. I can't wait to be finished with this promotion. It has been one big headache thanks to Staples (Aug 13 glitch).

I’ve received my AM shops miles and my AM shops Mega Miles bonus for my Staples order placed Sunday but no Staples miles yet.

Answers to Staples questions: @cari12 , @ottawamom, @juniorbugman , @dancin Disney style (and anyone I've missed tagging )

• Back of the coupon it states the bonus miles will post within 120 days of promotion so they will NOT print on the receipt, just need to watch account for them to post.
• If your order is split up before it ships, in my experience (happened on a couple of occasions for us) the miles posted correctly.
• If you order online and chose in-store pickup you will still get miles for shopping thru the airmiles portal, I KNOW this from my Surface dying the day after lockdown started and we did curbside pickup and last week hubby hired another co-op student that will need a webcam, only available in-store right now.
• Base miles from Staples (1 mile/$40) and the miles from the airmilesshop portal typically post within a week, not sure what their cutoff day is

for people who have watched their accounts pretty closely, is there a time of day when new miles tend to post online?

i made a major rookie mistake and didn’t build up any cash miles before mega miles started. i switched to 100% cash in time for a safeway shop last week, but they haven’t posted yet.

i’m still holding out a bit of hope that they’ll post before the sobeys liquor coupon expires tomorrow...

My Sobeys/Foodland so your Safeway usually post after 4pm on Wednesday for a shop done the previous week up to and including Saturday. Some people don't get theirs posted until Thursday so your experience may vary.

If the Sobeys liquor posts the same as Safeway you should be OK. AM are collected and sent to Airmiles each Saturday. The AM are already in the system and they will post to the selection that was in effect on Saturday 15th. Go ahead and change your preference today. I will take effect at 3am on the 19th. Then you can purchase your items tomorrow under Dream (if that's what you wanted to do)

i think my question was worded badly...i’m just waiting for those miles to post because the sobeys liquor coupon is use 95 cash miles/get 25 back, and it expires tomorrow. sounds like it’s going to come down to the wire...we’ll see if i get it!

I completed my Sobey's shop yesterday. I ended up with 160 air miles and spent $151.33 pre-tax.

The highway shut down between two exits due to a bad accident. When I passed (on the way to Sobey's) I saw the accident and noted that one lane was still going through. So I thought the highway was open. On the way back I opted to take Bloor Street home. Ohh what a mess! I should have turned 680 news on much earlier. Turns out that lane of traffice I saw was being directed to exit the highway at Harmony & Bloor. Bloor was a mess... It made a normal 20 minute drive into 1 1/4 hours!

Somehow my husband made it home before I did! We both left at 5 PM to drive home, he from Pickering and he beat me! He heard about the highway and went north of the highway to travel east. Yeah.. when in doubt, always go NORTH to go east. Going south was a mistake. I couldn't go anywhere else once I was on Bloor. Ugh Lesson learned.

I never did get to Shell yesterday. Hopefully today or tomorrow.
