I would hope that Disney would send someone to get her to the airport etc. I'm guessing she doesn't need a medical companion on the plane trip home but she certainly needs help getting to that plane. This was a workplace accident afterall. I know rules are likely very different than there are here in Canada, but still.

My thoughts are with you until she is home safe and sound.

They have their butts cover at least a dozen different ways, it’s all written in the contract. Workplace accidents don’t exist. Everyone is responsible for themselves. Apparently years ago someone got hurt and brought legal action. Her flight is arranged and assistance has been noted but I’m going to call the airline anyway to make sure. Unfortunately, I have no friends at that airline but will reach out to the others in case one of them has a contact.

I have a hard time believing that none of the other crew leaving on the shuttle wouldn’t be decent enough to help her with her bags.

Anyone here have any info on services at MCO from the curb?

I just looked a that and they won’t handle luggage. Thanks for the suggestion.

At the moment things are changing. The doctor ( the good one) has concerns about her sitting on a plane and they are trying to rebook her in a business class seat on a different flight 🤦🏻‍♀️. I was literally looking at booking myself to go down and get her when she told me this.

Thank you. She called last night and was sobbing. We had a long talk and she just wants to come home. Part of the worry is that they won't send her home on Wednesday...which BTW is her birthday so that was a whole second cry. She's fully stuck in her bed and feels terrible about her friends getting her food and spending their off time taking care of her.

I'm contemplating flying down to bring her home. At the same time I'm thinking she needs to deal with herself.

Thank you
Not even close to what your daughter is going thru,,,,im in Florida now,,my oldest gets a flat tire and calls me becuase neither her or my wife knew what to do...ugg really...so I am all for letting them figure it out....now your daughter is in medical help..i would be hard not to go down and bring her back.
Good luck and hope you/she can figure it out

Dancing disney style, so sorry to hear about your daughter!

Just wanted to flag for everyone that our gift cards bought with Air Miles aren't working at Universal. So far we knew the park entrance one didn't work, but then we tried the one on the Universal Studios side and that didn't work either...

Having a "rest" day today after two full Universal park days with our friends who are newbies. So fun to see them experience the parks! We capped off yesterday with the Mardi Gras parade which had everyone in very high spirits even though we were tired from the day.

Today we are headed to Character Warehouse, and then off to all the Disney minigolf courses and Disney Springs!

March break here, and I took the week off but we aren't going anywhere. It's a little sad but I hope the weather warms up at some point! Took the puppy for his haircut and I go tomorrow for one too lol. Otherwise I guess I'll just do some spring cleaning? Last year we were at SeaWorld and Universal for March break, kiddo refuses to travel with me again but he's almost 16 so I guess I may go alone in the future, once things settle down.

And of course I placed a rather large Old Navy order on the weekend to use some "old navy cash" and today they have an AM bonus... sigh. Oh well, perhaps I'll need something else. I have not been earning a lot of AM, I will need to get gas at some point this month which will get me a few, and maybe some other bonuses.

@ElCray these were starbucks? I didn't try and use mine in park last year but they did work at the Starbucks at the hotels, I used them many times in Aventura for breakfast. I didn't know they had a starbucks in the park actually. I had loaded them onto the app and was able to use it to pay for everything.

Yes that's right - the in-park Starbucks. I asked why they wouldn't work and they said they updated the payment system to Universal's system and that's why they didn't work. I did the same thing as you - loaded them up in the app, but they didn't work.

It's really too bad. I appreciated the chance to use them in the park before.

Thanks for the heads up! Hope it still works at Disney. Planning to get it for the upcoming Disney trip. We are attending a wedding in Orlando at Christmas. Otherwise, no plan to visit US for a while at all. Haven’t been since 2017.

It definitely worked at Disney when we were there in December!

Confirmed they work in non-park Starbucks here in Orlando.
