we will be moving back to boston from CA at teh end of March. i want to surprise the family with a detour in Orlando.

Can anyone tell me which airline from LAX or LGB to MCO is usually the cheapest? I have checked Airtran and Jetblue so far.

Can't answer your direct question, but I'd suggest checking www.kayak.com for a quick and easy way to check your options.

Keep in mind though that some airlines do not post their fares or schedules on airline reservation systems. For Southwest, for example, you must go to their website. And they often have the cheapest fare. Also, some airlines such as AitTran and JetBlue, save their cheapest fares for their own websites. You may see their fares posted on Kayak or Orbitz or Travelocity, but cheaper fares may be available on their websites.
