That is Spring Break week. Sorry to say, there is really no help for airfare then; especially this late. Most people book that week the day fares come out.

There is nothing from Hartford. If you are flexible and willing to fly out of Long Island, NY to Tampa and drive across to Orlando I found nonstop flights with Southwest. Total return inc taxes $329.60.

Great find! I would say to hop on this as soon as possible.

ETA: Check Airtran from Laguardia to Orlando too. You can get flights for around $450 for those dates and there were plenty of flights available. Not sure how feasible LaGuardia is for you.

Bit of a drive, Allegiant out of Plattsburg NY to Orlando Sanford is $87.79 to head down on 4/14 and 200.29 to come back on 4/21.

We are in the same boat coming from CT! We did find flights departing from Worcester with Direct air for 79.00 but can't seem to find a return flight! We are most likely going to try the drive this time around! Did you consider the drive?

Alternatively, you can book the flight down and drive home. Orlando has pretty inexpensive one way car rentals since they have a lot of snow birds that rent cars for one way down. Spring is the best time for the one way car rentals.

Alamo has their one way rental on their home page. Your dates fall within the deal!

Picking up at MCO on 4/21 and returning to BDL on 4/23 it is $60 TOTAL for all cars up thru Full size. If you want to return it on 4/22 the price goes down to $30 TOTAL.

SUV/Minivan is $81.34 TOTAL. (again, cut in half if you only keep it for 1 day as opposed to 2)

Hmmm...I may have to think of this myself next year. What a HUGE savings.
