The last time we were at AK in the summer, I felt like I was going to melt and it was difficult to find cool places to go and cool off. I know Pizzafari is nice and cool but we don't always feel like eating pizza. Are there any other air-conditioned counter service places to go to?

Not CS, but we really enjoy yak n yeti, they are reasonably priced and a great escape from the parks

Pizzafari also has pasta, a meatball sub, and a salad on the menu, as well as mac and cheese for kids.

We really liked Restaurantosaurus, even after they overlooked my order and I waited for over 20 minutes for my food and no one would help:( It was a very busy time and none of the girls behind the counter would make eye contact with me. I finally got someone's attention, at which point they admitted they lost our ticket. I do not believe this is/was the norm at all, and we still enjoyed out food and the atmosphere. Everyone after me received their orders quickly. My girls (1.5 & 6) loved that their kids' meals came in little sand pails with shovels.

Another plug for Restaurantosaurus if you want an indoor CS. I had lunch there this year and had the chicken blt salad, which I enjoyed.

If air conditioning is your main requirement for the CS location, then only Pizzafari and Restaurantosaurus have substantial indoor seating.

We usually go to Pizzafari but I think this year we are going to try Restaurantosaurus. Glad to hear about the good reviews.
