and yes we do now have our WestJet care-antee...what that means is that we will do our best to make it up to you if we cannot provide you with something you were "care-anteed"...so no we would never compromise safety...but if your plane can't fly for some reason WJ WILL put you up in a hotel....if the TVs are broken, we may give you a $10 off care-antee card for your next flight... things like that...to prove we care...that is the point of the care-antee![]()
it is cheesy yes...but that is WestJet hahahah
good luck with your trip planning! hope you find the best solution for you!!
Thanks for explaning that!
I've been wondering how that works. I actually had a WJ FA who was vacationing at WDW come into my shop recently and we got to talking about these kinds of things since she was waiting for her shuttle back to MCO, and the shop -a Resort store after everyone had left for the Parks - was dead.
However, I've got to wonder how WestJet intends to honour some of these things, particularly outside Canada. Case in point, browsing through their YouTube site, WJ "care-antees" a bilingual service.
It may be just me, but I've had problems obtaining French-language service from the Air Canada counter at OIA. I did it once when I was flying home to see what would happen - they turned into deer in headlights at <<Bonjour>> - and they're required by law to be bilingual, lol! I can't imagine WestJet being much better, but I guess it's nice to know they intend to try
