Ahsoka

Not that I really care, but this statement is totally false. There are multiple studies published by the NIH that report on this.

The most interesting study compared Males and Females in multiple different athletic activities. Then weighed down the males to account for differences in body compostion and particularly the fact that women typically have more body fat. The males still outperformed the females by between 30 and 70%.

There are hundreds of studies and thousands of real world examples. Read some research.
Correct, but you are talking to two impenetrable stone walls.

Any reason you edited to take out “anyone hear that annoying buzzing” out of your last post Super Mag?

Yawn... is Ahsoka on yet... Does anyone actually have it in a theater near them
Actually yes. From Chicago but currently in Orlando, both cities have it (Disney Springs has it here in Orlando). But I just found out today about the theater showings and they were already sold out. 😥

That would be really cool, I would love to go to that.

oooh that is cool... Disney Springs would be fun. I think Boston would be my closet

wow.....

little Ahsoka was so good, and Jacen is getting all forcey and never mind the Purgills!! LOL I love space whales

Sigh, going to be a long week. 3 more to go

Hope I'm putting the spoilers quotes in correctly. Wow. That was an emotionally satisfying episode. Not quite as good as expected, but good. Goodness, all of those Clone Wars scenes were great in live action. Anakin really looked like he should in CW. plus just all of the feelings, seeing them together. kleenex needed. Ok, so I apparently totally missed that Ahsoka had some psychometry ability from ep 2. So, seeing that here, kind of put me off a little. I was initially bothered, I'm still accepting that, but it's good. It's such an interesting and wonderful ability. I loved that Jacen could hear the sabers, but wish he'd been the one to locate her, have him show more force abilities, but that's ok too. Very slow pace, slow scenes, but It's just such great Star Wars storytelling.

Whatever man. I'm not an impenetrable stone wall. You can only be reductive and insulting toward any point of view that isn't yours. Really, we are arguing two different things and since you just want to keep arguing, I'm just going to cease

I enjoyed Ahasokha tonight, but it was the obligatory streaming series "introspective" episode.

Nice that you chose to “cease” when your narrative was beginning to fall apart. I will drop it too though, to spare others from the banter.

Just finished episode 3 and it’s still really good. I am enjoying the series a lot so far, but that doesn’t mean I don’t question some of it. Filoni appears to actually understand Star Wars, which is a sight for sore eyes I must say. Gives me great hope that Star Wars can be fixed ultimately by people that actually know what they are doing.

My episode 3 recap:

Pros:
- sound, music, and acting were really good in this episode again
- Sabine training scene was great, I love seeing the struggle. Disney is learning from its past mistakes, and giving her a proper hero’s journey. Love this scene!
- The fighter pilot scene was visually near perfect. Love the vibe of the enemy aircraft looking kinda ww2 single engine fighter plane like with a space update.
- love the rear gunner seat thingy that Sabine used, I could see a cool video game coming from that scene
- love the concept of the hyperspace ring, to travel to other galaxies
- love Ahsoka as a training mentor, she is perfect in that role
- Love how brutally honest the droid is about Sabines talent, that will only endear the audience to her, brilliant

Cons:
- not much for this one at all
- maybe the space whale thingies are a tad bit out there. Hard to understand how an organic creature can both live in space and travel at light speed as well. Odd, but I will give it a chance.

Solid episode that did not disappoint at all, can’t wait until #4.

I wish I could have seen this one in a theatre because omg the cinematography was just beyond beautiful in last night’s episode. I have wayyyyy too many thoughts and feelings about this one that I want to discuss but don’t want to spoil anyone who hasn’t seen it yet. Absolutely loved the Leia name drop though and Ahsoka finally getting her white robes! I agree with a pp about Ahsoka using psychometry in this episode was a bit odd since it’s supposed to be an incredibly rare force ability but I guess she could have learned more stuff off screen over the years. But yeah, solid episode and it was nice to see TCW stuff in live action.

Because this is a fictional TV show in a larger fictional universe, so the 'rules' that govern organic creatures in the 'real word' don't apply here? 🤷‍♀️

To get into it, it is the Purrgil which taught the denizens of the Star Wars galaxy how to use hyperdrives, much like how watching birds fly taught us the principles used to create airplanes. They have an organic way of doing it, and also a very profound connection to The Force. I think it's a very cool idea.

Yeah I get it, just trying to understand how an organic looking creature can survive outside of an atmosphere. No air of any kind or Co2 or anything like that in space. Just trying to wrap my head around what looks like a complex organic creature that can exist in a near perfect vacuum. Maybe they live off of the plasma of hydrogen / helium, or electromagnetic radiation, or neutrinos, or even cosmic dust or something.

No examples in our current world where a complex living creature can survive in a vacuum. There are microbes that might could, so maybe these whales have those microbes as their basic building blocks or something.

really drove home the child solider PTSD aspect to her character. She was so small in those live action clone wars scenes.... here child here is your lightsaber, now go kill in the name of peace. Her poses, her outline against the scenes of war really drove home how young she was. And Anakin was not much older himself when this started as well, you can see how he became more and more numb paving the way to become Vader

Thanks for that and it does help. Like I said before lots of normies that don’t watch the cartoons may be a little confused by this.

I am already seeing some Free Willy jokes on social media about the purrgils.

not true, but of course your definition of complex might be different... definitely more complex than a microbe.

All hail the mighty Tardigrade.... one of the most indestructible creatures found on Earth

And yes, can survive the vacuum of space...
