Ahoy November 12th, 2009 Cruisers!!

Hey Annette!! And we totally wish you and Mike, Tracey and Alonzo, Deaven and Brett and all the kiddies were with us too!! :sad2:

Mike

A collegue of mine at the college just got back from the Carnival cruise on Monday that had the guy fall overboard. Her experience started a group of us talking today and THREE people (including the one who just got back!) said they either HATE cruises or would never even care to go on one! :scared1:

Can you believe this planet is populated with that type of people?! :lmao:

I used to be like that but I had never cruised and once we did Disney I was hooked!

Mike - nice wish but we still hate you!!!! :) Have fun you guys!

We are getting ready for church camp in New Mexico. I have to see what winter clothes still fit my son. Weird feeling when it is 100 degrees here....

Received my cruise travel kit in the mail from Disney yesterday.:cool1: Makes it feel like it's closer then it really is.

Next big date for us will be August 14th shen we can make shore excurisons and spa appointments although I don't think we will be doing either. Maybe I should gook a pedi for my sister and I.

I got mine too! Here's our plans:

Palo dinner (did brunch last time)
Exotic Rasul (cancelled it last time - not sure why!!!)
Mr. Ray's Stingray Adventure on CC

What is everyone else planning to do?

I booked thru a travel agent, when will I get my travel kit??

Our plans.....We are doing Atlantis aquaadventure or renting a room, havent' decided. I take my girls by myself, so am a bit leary of doing the renting a room thing by myself. It doesn't save me a ton of money, so thinking will probably stick with the safe plan of DCL one. Castaway Cay no plans..... we will be doing Discovery Cove after the cruise so will get our stingray, snorkeling, dolphin stuff in then. May rent paddle boat, otherwise just relax!

off topic, anyone ever had a dry socket? I had a tooth pulled LAST friday and am still in pain. My oral surgeon is on vacation and left noone to cover(my luck). I called my regular dentist, he just ordered pain med and got me an appointment for 8am monday with the oral surgeon. ugghh... has been a long painful week!

We plan on doing Palo(maybe more than once). I heard the Nausau segway tour was cool-might consider that. I need to look into Atlantis. Last time we did the Catamaran snorkel trip with the kids and took a buggy tour without the kids. At CC we'll just hang out. We might snorkel depending on the water temp!

We plan to stay onboard at Nassau. Castaway Cay we will do snorkeling, snorkeling and more snorkeling!!! But not the excursion this time. It was cool but not enough different from the free snorkeling for us to do it again. I absolutely hope to check out the food at the adult beach.

I am considering the exotic rasul, has anyone done it before?

MICKEY MAIL!!!!! TOO COOL!!!!!:cool1:

It really does make it seem so much closer! I kinda freaked when I saw the kit, because we haven't really discussed much....
Guess I know what we are doing this weekend!!!

August 14th..wow! Right around the corner!! lol

I wanted to try Palo for brunch but they don't offer it on the 3 day:headache:
We did the Stingrays at CC and it was fun!:thumbsup2 Your DS will love it Harmony!
I'd like to snorkel at CC this time. DH will go for it but I don't think DS will so we'd have to convince him to go to the kids club and if we can convince him to do that I'd rather steal away to the adult's beach::yes::
There is nothing in Nassau (with the exception of my beloved Starbucks) that interests me:surfweb:

Got my Mickey Mail too....

don't forget.. Southwest opens up for November on Tuesday!!

I was thinking today...:scared1:
about a DIS meet. I think it was your trip report Harmony or maybe Drea's but I think it was your last cruise that you guys all got together and had a picture taken. How did you all arrange that and would anyone be interested in doing that again? I think we have a pretty fun crowd here::yes:: and we oughta be in pictures!:thumbsup2 What do you think all?

It was DEFINATELY not my group - our DIS meet attempts were a bit of a disaster! We had two set up, one the first day by the pool before the muster drill, and another one at 10:00 at night in one of the bars.

Now don't get me wrong, the fist meet went o.k., we were able to meet a few fellow dis'ers, but the problem was that this being my first cruise, I didn't specify WHAT SIDE of the pool!

And the second attempt flat out failed because we planned it on the same night as Castaway Cay day. I set the whole thing up and didn't even show up! We were SO EXHAUSTED and sunburnt that we were in bed by 9:00! We even left dinner at AP early! :upsidedow

All this being said - I would still LOVE to do a DIS Meet. So if everyone here wants to do it, it has to be a group planned attempt so that I don't get blamed for it falling apart (like I did last time!).

About that last statement - a certain member of our last meet BERATED me on our meet board after our cruise in February because I didn't show up! :scared:

Will you all be kind to me this time? :rotfl:

Anyone have luck with Southwest? The flights are good price $79(although will probably drop a smidge... my guess.. as oct is selilng for $68 now) BUT... they no longer have a 7pm flight too or from Pittsburgh/Orlando. Ugghhh...... now trying to figure out my schedule, again!:rotfl:

I guess I can deal with it now....total for the 4 of us will be about $828...but we have a credit of just over $200...which helps A LOT!
Hoping it goes down, but I will probably book it tonight just to make sure we don't lose it.
We are coming in Wednesday morning right now. If things get better with hubby's job situation, we can leave Tuesday night and get a full day at the hotel pool.

That was a bunch of bull IMO. He wasn't all that active with our group anyway, but had a lot to say afterwards. I honestly didn't even remeber him saying he was going to participate in anything.

All you Chicagoans-if your willing to drive up to Milwaukee, Southwest is starting their service and has a promotional fare of $35!!!! each way!

Can't believe it.. have my airfare all taken care of in one day. I usually spend months watching it. I got Airtran down(preferred their time) for $69(with a $20 rebate with bill me later) and Southwest back for $79. I had $80 credit, so ended up with a round trip total of $135 per person.... WOW! so excited.

That $39 Milwaukee deal is a great one!

Hope everyone else is having good luck in the airfare department!
