Ahoy November 12th, 2009 Cruisers!!

I'm still trying to figure out how to pack all mine and get them down there!

I"m sitting in class tonight wishing I was at home finishing up packing....this is going to be such a long week!!!!!

I am like a little kid having a hard time focusing- because in my mind I am already on vacation!:cool2:

Hey Everyone! So excited for next Thursday I can hardly do any work this week!

My question that I have is does anyone know if the cellular services that is on the cruise ship allows for data services? I have a Blackberry with unlimited international and domestic data services, and was told by sprint that as long as the ship's cellular network has data services I will be covered under the international data services and won't pay for the usage. Also with the cell services is it $2.49/min from disney and then $2.49 from my provider as well? I think that's double dipping isn't it.

Well can't wait any longer!

Not sure about data services. However, it is not double dipping. Basically you are "roaming" on Disney's network. Normally on land, Sprint pays a roaming fee to another carrier if you are on their tower (i.e. Verizon or TMobile) but Sprint has no such agreement with Disney's service so you have to pay for your usage of Disney's cellular network and then the international Sprint voice rates.

Hey Gang!

We have been out of town for a few days.

Wanted to post and see if others hosting DCL House Parties got their boxes. Mine came yesterday, looks like lots of nice goodies :)

Wishing everyone who is traveling soon a great trip and fun on their first part of the vacation.

Haven't thought about packing or anything, hoping to start this weekend.

Lots to do between now and then, all kinds of kid stuff going on....

Hey guys I have a quick question I was hoping someone could answer. I was on the website for Disney World and saw something about a Christmas party at Magic Kingdom...are all the rides/attractions open for this or is it just select events? Thanks Melissa

Can't wait for a Konk Cooler:banana:

MVMCP is a lot of fun. It is a hard ticketed party which means you have to buy a special ticket. MK is closed to guest not attending the Party. At 7pm, all the day guests should be gone and the Party starts! All the E ticket rides are open (except Space Mountain which is going through a refurb). There are special holiday shows, Christmas parade, and holiday themed fireworks. It is even "rumored" to snow on Main Street! ;) All the characters are decked out in the holiday finest and Santa and Mrs Claus will be attending as well.

I'll be attending on 11/10!

You can enter as early as 4pm with this ticket. There is a special parade and show in front of the castle, characters in costumes, snow on main street and even Santa. :) I have gone twice. Once, it was great, low crowds, well worth the money.... the second time, it was a zoo!!! So many people, I have no idea where they came from as it was not that busy at any park all week long. You couldn't get anywhere. There is one while we are there(the 17th) so I am just waiting to see if it sells out or not. If it does, I don't want to be there anyhow.... thinking we may just pass since we have seen it twice.... will make my mind up closer to the day.

Thanks for the info on the Christmas Party...I will talk to DH, cause I would really like to go.

I hear you on the being crowded. I won't go to a Party on Friday/Saturday nights. The locals come out since its not a school night. I'm attending on Tuesday night so it won't be so bad (hopefully!)

This weather forecast is driving me nuts!!!!! ugghh.... don't need this stress right now. I keep saying, it doesn't matter, it will be great anyhow and my land part of my cruise is after it all... but still bums me out!

Is that the one that just turned into Ida? She is making me mad! But the weather website is still predicting a favorable outlook....hope it stays that way!

according to reports this morning, Ida's long range expectation (late next week) is Western Carribean and possibly the Gulf side of Florida. this is from weatherbug.
no bad ju ju people! we are going to have an awesome time!:woohoo:

I just need to keep an eye on it for my flight. I am flying in Wed, leaving PIT at 6pm. Might be a bumpy ride. Glad Ida is in the Gulf instead of the Atlantic. My motherinlaw's name was Ida... she wouldn't dare let this ruin her granddaughters trip:angel:
