It's really not a huge deal anymore. We used to do all those character buffets when dd way younger...she is now 17 and really doesn't care about them. We have been so many times that we pretty much know exactly where we can get the food we like. Sure, we have to pay a bit more for it but that's not a big deal. We also eat in our villa more than we used to.Glad to hear you at least had some fun.
Goofy4tink, I hear you but man I just cannot imagine buying into a timeshare and then not liking this much of your experience. (dining and eating are a major part of our vacations)
Of course it probably wasn't that way when you did, but what a let down.
Fortunately I love the food at WDW, but I didn't know it "when". But I can usually find something anywhere that I like as long as it isn't seafood. LOL
It used to be that you could find something a bit different at each restaurant..even the buffets. Not anymore. If you want a buffet and you want choices that you won't find elsewhere, you pretty much have to head to Boma, or maybe Donald's breakfast at AK. But other than those, you get the same mediocre stuff at every buffet. The food had changed over the years..but nothing stays the same anywhere. We just plan accordingly. I find that we eat more QS than we used to. The new QS at the CR is one of my new favorites...man, the pepperoni flatbread pizza I had there was incredible. Unfortunately, Roaring Forks was not able to produce the same quality!!
