AGLET – We're Gonna Tour The World Together! Updated 11/9!!!

Those "MINE!!!!" seagulls are too precious! I don't blame you for wanting one. I have a slight stuffed animal addiction though so... that's probably why...

So CLEARLY 1988 was an awesome year: IllumiNations, NORVAY, and ME!!! Forgive me, I'm just a really big fan of both of those things and apparently we're the same age. HOORAY.

Oh my goodness, I really wish I'd seen the Tapestry of Nations parade. The music is my favorite! I listen to it all the time. On repeat.

Stupid Judy!!!

I love the "mine" seagulls! There's nothing worse than getting home and wishing you'd bought something but didn't. OK, wait...there are lots of things worse than that...but it's still pretty bad! :lmao:

I really admire (and envy) the way you guys tour the parks...no rush, doing it your way. For some reason, I have to battle that hurry up and don't miss anything feeling! Sometimes, I win the battle...sometimes, not so much!

Hello! I have been lurking in your tr and I am finally piping up!

First, congrats on your engagement and AHH a Disney wedding? You know I'll be here for that!! LOVE IT. Will you be doing a planning journal for that or anything or just a tr from your planning session trip? I love reading about that stuff, so if you ever feel like throwing it in, you would hear no complaints here. :rolleyes1

I love Figment too. I just HAD to buy my son a little Figment stuffed animal once and my friend tried to make him not like it because he didn't like the ride. :confused3 Sorry dude! He loves it!

Glad you guys were able to fit so much in, even with all those crazy waits!! :rotfl:

Looks like you had your own private time in Epcot! I love it! Both figment and ellen are musts for me. I love those rides :goodvibes

Isn’t he the cutest??? I love the Mine fish!

I have one of his brothers at my house. :)
I like that whole shop and manage to buy something from there pretty much every trip.

“Do you want to go over to Ellen?” I asked, knowing what his answer would be.

“OKAY!!!” I certainly did not have to ask twice. His face lit up, and he started walking faster in the direction of Universe of Energy?

I think only a small percentage of people have this conversation and reaction.

Lovely Epcot!

I have not done Ellen in years.

The sky looks so pretty.

Great update

Sarah, I am so woefully behind that I don't even know where I left off! But first things first....

CONGRATULATIONS to both you and Wingnut!!!:cheer2: What wonderful news. And even better, a Disney wedding! The perfect place to wed, perfect! Tell me, will you wear a veil or the elusive Beaker cap during your nuptials?? I'll bet you'll serve your guests Phineas and Ferb Mac & Cheese too! That'd be perfect!:thumbsup2

Looks like I have much to catch up on.:):)

Wow! You sure picked hoppin and popular rides! Hahahhahaha :p

Knowing that you are going to le Cellier in your update makes me excited for out trip because we just attained an ADR for there- we were surprised!!!

Hahahaha we have a knack for that!!! :thumbsup2

Yay!!! I hope you guys enjoy it!!

Phew - How did you even take a deep breath with all those people surrounding you? :lmao:

I thought of you when I rode Figment in June and you will be happy to know I took a bunch of pictures (shock, I know :rolleyes1).

LOL it was pretty much the opposite of this guy: :crowded: :rotfl:

Awww yay!!! I'm excited to see them!!!

Julia has asked to go on Universe of Energy this trip. I warned her of the length. She insists. The only videos I've seen of parts of it is too dark and I can't tell what's going on. SO WHAT IS GOING ON??? Please let me know so that I can nix it if need be.

Your morning of touring is perfection to me. Also, we've never stopped in the gift shop at The Seas, but I'm sure we'll be dropping a pretty penny in there this time. My kids have become obsessed! (Okay, me, too.) What can I say? They want all things Ellen...fish and energy.

I can give a much more detailed summary if you'd like, but basically you are in large ride "cars" that are just bench seats, no seatbelts or anything (there are doors that close, similar to the Great Movie Ride). The ride doesn't move fast at all, but you are on elevated tracks, and once you are on the ride, you absolutely cannot leave. It is approximately 45 minutes long, plus the preshow. The ride has dark parts, loud parts, bits with strobe lighting, dinosaurs, and lots of information about energy.

It definitely has it's funny parts with Ellen and Bill Nye, but I can see it not only being scary for little ones, but pretty dull at points.

I'm not trying to talk you out of it, but, okay, I kind of am. Especially with Brynn and Sawyer, I can't see this ride being too much fun for the littler ones (unless they love dinosaurs, or hearing about harvesting wind power and solar energy.)

Ellen really does play a big role in Future World!! Hahaha that gift shop is chock-full of cute little items like that! :thumbsup2

We didn't ride half the things in FW at Epcot last time... No Living with the Land, no Figment, no Universe of Energy. We DID ride Nemo though!!

I'm planning to change that this time! I have goals to ride everything that is open!! Well I correct that! I don't feel like being sick the entire day so I think I will skip Mission Space!

Awww you're missing the main attractions here!! ;) Nah, I know those aren't exactly the ones the crowds race to, but we love them!

Agree with you on Mission: Space! That's a no for us too!

:lmao: I didn't even know that Nemo had a wait time sign!

Too bad that you having souvie regrets. Buying something online from home just isn't the same.

You guys should plan days for people wanting to avoid crowds! At least you had some breathing room!

Can't wait to hear what you thought of Le Cellier. I'm bummed that I didn't get us there before it became 2 credits for lunch too.

Hahaha oh yes, it does!

I always have souvenir regrets, at least this time it was just a little stuffed animal!! :rotfl: I don't think there'll be a mission for this one in October, but it would be fun to get it if I see him anywhere!

Really, we just kind of randomly pick the parks! We didn't do too well crowd-wise on a few of the days, but other days it was better!

I'm interested to see what'll happen there with the 2 credits for lunch pricing.

OMG those stuffed "Mine" seagulls are adorable! Don't worry, they probably won't be around in November either, because if I want something, it's usually gone! :rotfl:

I always forget about that Epcot timeline, probably because I'm not sure if I've ever even set food inside Innoventions! :rolleyes1 But I really want to see the timeline, because you know, I'm kind of obsessed with Epcot!

I really need to see the Universe of Energy someday...I just wish it wasn't so long!

Yay Le Cellier!! :yay:

Aren't they cute?? Awww that's the same with me, I know!!

It really is interesting to see. It's by the entrance to Innovations by The Land and Figment. I have no idea if that's East or West. But if you go into the doors on that side (not closer to the center of Future World), they're up on the wall.

I know, it is a bit long! It is funny, but long.

Hahaha I figured you'd approve!! :thumbsup2

hahaha. And how quickly are you supposed to walk? I usually walk VERY briskly through that queue, but if I had the responsibility of reporting an accurate wait time, maybe I would walk at a more moderate pace. So many questions.

The Tapestry of Nations parade was amazing! I was 10 when the wand went up on Spaceship Earth, and I thought it was cool, but now I'm just like... what in the world was the point of that hideous thing on my precious iconic Epcot symbol????

hahaha Ellen twice in one trip. I made my parents do that when I was about 12. I looooooved Ellen. Still do! I remember my dad being so annoyed we were spending more time there instead of World Showcase. Oops.

Hahaha I know, there was a lot of pressure!! Hopefully we didn't mess it up!

I loved the Tapestry of Nations parade! I know it was terrible for World Showcase traffic, but it was so awesome! Hahaha yeah, the wand was a bit tacky.

Hahahahaha you and DF would get along well! I love Ellen too, I think she's hilarious!

Aren't they cute? I should have gotten one! It could have hung out with Planty!

Hahaha yay for 1988! :thumbsup2 Clearly, then yes, a fabulous year!! I'd love to be the same age as Illuminations, how cool is that??

I listen to it all the time too! The parade was really fun!

Hahaha I know it's certainly not the WORST thing in the world, but still annoying! :rotfl:

Haha thank you!! We do rush for very few things (generally, food-related  ), but otherwise we take our time.

Hello! I have been lurking in your tr and I am finally piping up!

Glad you guys were able to fit so much in, even with all those crazy waits!! :rotfl:

Welcome!! Glad to have you here!! :goodvibes

Thank you!!!!! I'll probably just do a TR, that's my plan for now at least! :thumbsup2

Aww how can you dislike Figment?? He's the best!

Looks like you had your own private time in Epcot! I love it! Both figment and ellen are musts for me. I love those rides :goodvibes

It was nice and quiet that morning!! Too bad we had to leave that day!

I love them too, as much as I joke about Universe of Energy, I do very much enjoy that ride!

I have one of his brothers at my house. :)
I like that whole shop and manage to buy something from there pretty much every trip.

I think only a small percentage of people have this conversation and reaction.

Lovely Epcot!

Awww maybe after October I'll have one of them too!!

Hahahaha he definitely has unique ride preferences!! :rotfl:

I have not done Ellen in years.

The sky looks so pretty.

Great update

It's a fun ride to visit, but it definitely does take up a good chunk of time!

Thanks!! :goodvibes

Sara, I am so woefully behind that I don't even know where I left off!

Welcome back Molly!!!!

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!! :goodvibes LOL I hadn't thought about wearing the Beaker cap...there's an idea!! ;) It's too bad the characters get all bloaty and misshapen when cooked, it makes saying "hey, there's Perry!" that much more difficult when identifying the character!

My there were so many people you had to fight this morning! :rotfl2:

Shh, don't tell Wingnut but we've never done Ellen. You don't sit on the floor for 45 minutes do you? Now I feel we have to.

I know we missed the main attractions! :thumbsup2 thats why I plan to correct it this time!! Can't wait to ride some of them!!

I agree that the Nemo queue is longer than necessary, but I do enjoy it!
I love Ellen! 45 minutes of seated air conditioning AND dinosaurs!? Yes please!
Can't wait for Le Cellier! :goodvibes

Ahhh it's pretty funny that the nemo queue has a wait time tracker.
It always feels so special when you get one of those things!

Awhhhhh I love the mine seagulls!! They are adorable and obnoxious all at once but oh so loveable! :goodvibes

I actually haven't done Ellen but I want to! But for some reason none of my other travelling companions ever feel the same :confused3

Wow you guys are busting through all the popular attractions that people flock to aren't you? :rotfl: Seriously, once, right after the Nemo attraction opened in The Living Seas (oops, not called that anymore), we had a wait. A long one! We were waaaay back near the entrance of the building. :scared: I guess everybody, including us, wanted to see the "new" attraction. After that trip, the line has always been pretty fast moving if there's a line at all.

Tell Wingnut that we are a family of Ellen fans so I would have gone to Universe of Energy too.

Here I am, thinking I already commented on this.... UM, NOPE! But I'm here now! Still working my way through in catching up, but I'm loving your TR so far. Don't even ask how I managed to NOT comment on your TR at this point, because I have no idea. :rotfl:

I'm sure I'll comment again here in the next day or two once I've caught up! :thumbsup2

Your morning of blockbuster Epcot attractions is cracking me up! I think our days at Epcot are going to look a lot like that in Oct. When your pregnant and traveling with the under 40" set, you're not really hitting any of the heavy hitters!

I LOVE Universe of Energy, you Df and I might be the only ones! :rotfl2:

All right, I'm gonna try to get all caught up now. Ready? Okay. *rubs hands together*

Okay, clearly I missed the proposal, but that ring is beautiful! Congratulations!!!

I'm going to say that you took the path where Stringbean dances along the way. :cool1: And no catastrophes along the way is always best. Isn't it a normal rule that if you leave your finger on the page, you can reverse it? It's not? Oh....

Mmmm, I love bobotie too! My main love there for breakfast is the sausage. I don't know, it just so gooooooooddddd....

Thank you for the plethora of pictures of rope drop. I needed to see that today. :)

I love the dole whip swirl. You're right, it's a really good balance.

That Beaker hat looks great on you!

I always have a section of my head missing on Spaceship Earth too! I mean really. I just don't get it.

The lobby at AKL really is the prettiest one. I could just sit there all day and just veg out.

Wow, look at you lucking out getting pictures of Disney ducks.

Jiko is a great great restaurant.

When we ate at Jiko, the filet was combined with a truffle infused macaroni and cheese. That was some good stuff.

Gah, a Disney wedding?! My my my. I'm jealous. :goodvibes

I haven't eaten at Kouzzina before, but it looks pretty good. I love me some breakfast.

Your logic in staying at POFQ for beignets is 87% sound. ;)

Well, obviously you know that I love Donald, but angry Donald is just icing on the cake.

Very valid point about the queue at Nemo. It's like a complete and utter workout by the time you get to board your clam. But seriously, with the quantity of food that's consumed at Disney, it's probably wise....

Refuse a visit to see Stupid Judy? Only a fool would do that. :rotfl2:

My there were so many people you had to fight this morning! :rotfl2:

Shh, don't tell Wingnut but we've never done Ellen. You don't sit on the floor for 45 minutes do you? Now I feel we have to.

Hahaha yes, the crowds were horrible!! ;)

No, no sitting on the floor!! You're in big ride vehicles similar to the Great Movie Ride. You should check it out, but it is long!!

I know we missed the main attractions! :thumbsup2 thats why I plan to correct it this time!! Can't wait to ride some of them!!

Hahaha yay!! :thumbsup2

I agree that the Nemo queue is longer than necessary, but I do enjoy it!
I love Ellen! 45 minutes of seated air conditioning AND dinosaurs!? Yes please!
Can't wait for Le Cellier! :goodvibes

It is REALLY themed, so I forgive it for the extraneous walking!

Hahaha I think that's what Wingnut loves about it too! :rotfl:

Ahhh it's pretty funny that the nemo queue has a wait time tracker.
It always feels so special when you get one of those things!

I know, I love when we get those!

Hahaha I think that's the perfect summary of them! I think they're awesome too!

Yeah, I can see Universe of Energy not having the crowds RACING towards it, but it is a fun ride!

Hahaha yes, we were!! Oh wow, the line has never ever been close to that long when I've been there!!

Yay for more Universe of Energy fans!! :thumbsup2

Here I am, thinking I already commented on this.... UM, NOPE! But I'm here now! Still working my way through in catching up, but I'm loving your TR so far. Don't even ask how I managed to NOT comment on your TR at this point, because I have no idea. :rotfl:

:lmao: Really???? I had no idea you hadn't commented either!! Well, welcome officially!!! :rotfl: Thanks!!

I LOVE Universe of Energy, you Df and I might be the only ones! :rotfl2:

Hahaha yeah, at least the tamer attractions in Epcot are fun!!

Aww it is a fun ride, but a bit long!!

All right, I'm gonna try to get all caught up now. Ready? Okay. *rubs hands together*

Ready!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks!!! :goodvibes Yes, we are very excited about the wedding planning to come!!

Oh, there probably was a bit of dancing, whichever way we took! I swear, that had to be an official rule of those "choose your own adventure" books!

I was just thinking about how much I love the bobotie the other day! The sausage is really good too!

I thought the Dole Whip was great! I can't wait to have another!

Thanks!!! Hahaha I was so happy to FINALLY find it!! :thumbsup2

It's weird, my older pictures from Spaceship Earth, my head is nice and whole. Lately, it's been very Swiss cheese in its interpretation.

AKL really is gorgeous! I love spending time there! Jiko really is fantastic. I really wish I could have tried the filet with the mac & cheese. It was never on the menu when we went!

Between Nemo and Soarin, Epcot really does have you walking off the food with lengthy queues! :rotfl:
