Age to ride attractions alone

We are yearly WDW attendees and DVC members, but we always go to the parks as a family. I'll be taking my 10-year-old son on a mommy/son trip this December, but... I'm not a big attraction rider and my disability limits what I'm able to ride. I know there are attractions he's going to want to ride, and I'm wondering if they'll let him on without me. To be clear, I'll be with him in the parks all the time. But if he wants to ride something I'm not able to ride because of my disability, will he be let on alone?

He could even wait in line that whole time, if both of you felt like it.

I was thining 8-ish but yours is 10......he is ready even if you as a mom are not..............

Thank you all! You made me feel a lot better. He's definitely responsible and tall enough to ride on his own, but I didn't know what the official rules are and if the cast members would give him problems if I wasn't with him.

One thing - make sure he either has a cell phone with him or/and you pick a spot outside the attraction where to meet. For example (because I couldn't ride a for a few years for an injury), Twilight Zone is easy since you would be taken down and can meet him right as soon as he gets off the elevator. But, would HE know that? Rock N Roller Coaster is in the gift shop but that space is crowded a lot of time so maybe meeting outside would be better (I did that and texted the husband that I was taking a break and where I was but other times it was fine).

My advice - look at what you cannot ride with him, plan a meeting spot, talk to the Cast Member at the entrance to the ride, and then have him enjoy with you along in the queue.
