This has likely been posted before, but I was unable to locate it so I will ask again.

What is the age limit for ordering off the kid's menu? My DD (11) has a very small appetite and I hate to buy a full adult meal when she will eat less than half of it. Do they allow sharing of adult meals as long as you are not on the meal deal? I have read that the meal deal does not allow sharing.

No one seems to really care about that unless it is the meal deal.

They always asked what type of menus the boys wanted. When we went last year, our nephew was 13 (and bigger than me) and my older DS was 12 (and taller, but not bigger than me) were allowed to order from the kids menus at Hard Rock Cafe and Margaritaville. I probably could have gotten them kids meals at the counter service restaurants in the parks too, but the choices just were not what they liked so much there.

As far as sharing goes, I don't think they care one way or the other, as long as you are not getting the meal deal. I wanted to share meals sometimes, since I don't eat that much either, but everyone else in my party wanted a whole meal...

When we went in October, we booked the Kids stay, play and eat free deal. They charged us for bean #1 park ticket but gave us enough free kids meal vouchers so that they all ate free each day :confused3

Maybe it was a Mummy Dust blessing, because the kids eat free was for ages 3-9 and I listed her as 11!!

It was a great program and bean #1 asked if we were going to have it again this trip. Now that they are supposedly offering fruit and using non trans fat oils to cook with, maybe we will get it again.

I posted this awhile back and was told they really don't care at Universal, unlike Disney (except as mentioned for the meal deal). We plan to eat at Mythos and Margaritaville and my kids (who will be 12, 14, and 15) aren't particularly adventurous eaters. Several adults posted about ordering kids' meals (for themselves) at Mythos without a problem. If they offer something like chicken tenders on the adult menu, fine, I have no problem paying for it. But if it's only on the kids' menu, then I hope they let me order it from there for them!

Actually, my almost 14 year old is becoming very willing to try new things so he may have fun at a restaurant like Mythos. My youngest at least likes staples that are usually on adult menus (steak, hamburger). But my 15 year old is a pizza and chicken nuggets kid still so he may be the one I'm always trying to get the kids meal for! (and he's nearly 6 feet now!) :rotfl:
