Age difference in relationships...

we are going to my husband's aunts wedding in september. she is 33 and her fiance is 22 or 23, I forget. He is 10x more mature than any guy she has dated her own age, he's an absolute sweetheart and in it for the long haul. I personally see no problems with it. the only issue that might come up is kids...but in dh's aunt's case neither wants any.

meant to add that I started dating dh when I was 26 and he was 23. I remember it creeping me out, too, although I know its not that big a difference. I was used to dating guys 3 years older than me, so the difference seemed greater.

I don't see a problem with that it is a 6 maybe 7 year age difference. That isn't bad at all.
My boyfriend and I are 6 years apart (he being the older one)

If they are happy, go for it. There is someone for everyone.
I have seen women who have married much older men, and were married to them until death do us part. They literally became nursemaids, and remained so for years.
That wouldn't be for me, and I know they did not take that into consideration until they were faced with it. But to each their own.

As an almost 28 year old woman who is with a 32 year old man I really don't see what the big deal is with age difference as long as both are adults (not that I'd have a problem with a 17 year old and 21 year old). I think maturity is what matters and everyone matures at a different age.

10 years differnce between my DH and me. We have no problems with age. My DD22 is married and her DH is 34. My son-in-law is only 12 years younger than me. As long as everyone is happy.

I don't think a 6 year age difference is that bad, especially among adults. Now if she was 22 and he was 16, that might be a different story!

4 years between DF & me, he's 35 and I'm 39, most people think he's the older one!
