We are definitely EMH type of people, and feel that we get so much done in the first hour to hour and a half in the parks.

Our friends are definitely not morning people. They get up, eat a leisurely breakfast or lunch, and hit the parks by 1:30 or 2:00 pm. They insist that they get just as much done, because by that point, people are heading back for their naps or to swim, and I have to admit, last time we were there (the kids were much younger) I don't think we stayed in a park past 3 pm, so I don't know if they're right or not.

What's your experience been?

BTW, we're travelling together this May, but we've agreed we'll just meet up in the evenings!

I think you get way more done in the first hour of early entry days. The parks are deserted when you first walk in. You can get as much done in that first hour or two of touring that, somebody that arrives at 1 will take the rest of the day to do. There is no way to get as much done any other way. You will be back napping, or taking a dip in the pool, or relaxing while others are waiting in 60 minute lines that are nonexistant before noon. We love early morning.

during our 14night stay this Aug we're planning on 4 early mornings - 1 at each park - to get the major rides done
then about 8nights to spend time in the countries and at least 1night will be for ea park
I did schedule in 2 late afternoons to go to the parks the days we transition from early morn to late night - not planning on getting much done those days - maybe just people watch. We have APs so if we dont get much done those days it doesnt really matter

We are definitely morning people at the parks. In right at opening time (whether that be regular time or early open) and out by lunchtime or shortly thereafter. By the time we usually leave, the parks have definitely started to fill up and lines are longer. Do more people then start leaving as the afternoon goes on, so that from, say, 3 to 6 the lines get short again? Maybe - I don't know, but I doubt it.
