After hours event selling out

I am trying to talk my husband into the after hours event on the 19th. Does anyone know how far in advance these have been selling out, if they have been selling out?

I'm under the impression that this event hasn't been selling well. Shouldn't be hard to get a ticket.

We are going on the 19th. Driving from TX to FL for the party. My dd's and I are excited. Bought 3 tickets today so it's not sold out.

They give quite a lot of free tickets away and sell 50% discounted tickets, so should be plenty left over.

Looks like that didn't go over well...I always find that the late night hours at the MK are great. We're going on May 18th when they are open until 1 am...Typically we walk off a ride and can walk right back on if we want, including Big Thunder Mountain which my family thinks is great to ride four or five times in a row.

Some reports indicate the attendance has been about 1000 or so people each night out of a possible 3000 tickets. Those reporting say it's great. You have a chance to ride 26 rides and while the guest average per day is about 10. If one is only there a short time I would do that event in a hearbeat.

If you've ever wanted an almost empty magic kingdom, this is the event for you.. I actually found the time to be good, especially if you went in earlier for the shows, dinner, etc. (7 is the official come in time but people have reported getting in as early as 4:30)

Actually, 4:00 is official yet unwritten. Just like with a party ticket
I completed the survey yesterday and in it they ask what time you entered, with a pull down menu of 30 min increments to pick from. The choices start at 4:00
They will convert and mark a turnstile for After Hours entry at 4:00

Oh, and while they haven't "sold out" all tickets because they give some away all tickets have been distributed for each night. Whether or not all with tickets come in is another question.
I took a tour of Epcot on Saturday, the day before we went to the event. I asked our Guest Services tour guide what he knew of the event. He replied he was under the impression they were offering 1500 tickets per night

I was just worried that with them giving away so many, that they might make tickets unavailable at some point for Thursday's event. It's going to be a hard sell on my husband-- if the parks are busy the first few days I have a better chance of getting him to agree, but it might not be until Wednesday!

Don't worry. As long as someone is willing to pay, they's find tickets for you somewhere.

I don't think they give them away till the day of, or maybe day before. They hope to sell them, naturally. So giving them away is a last resort.
That said, I wouldn't wait till the last day to buy them, if you are sure you want them.
I'd buy them as soon as you talk DH in to it. The more time the event goes on the more talk there is about it on social media the greater chance you have of it actually selling out, especially since you are looking at the last one

I'd actually wait til the day before and check the weather for the next night...you wouldn't want to shell out the money for a rain out...and since none of the parties has sold out before the day before, you'll be fine waiting...

Walking around in the park on the same day...
Disney hotel concierges...
As compensation for a major guest problem...
(1st time) as DVC members...

No real rhyme or reason...but they have about 1/4-1/2 free or discounted patrons each night (or more), depending who you ask (DVC/AP accounting for the discounted ones)...
