After Hours event DVC discount

Can I purchase the DVC discounted tickets to after hours event for my sister-in-law but not attend myself?

All of the DVC discounts & offers state that an eligible member must be present. There's always some chance that credentials will not be checked, but no way to be certain. The "letter of the law" is that the member must be there to take advantage of discounts.

Wondering the same thing. My son wants to go with some friends, but i have to work that night. Wondering if i could pick up the tickets ahead of time with dvc id. Wonder if they have to show id at the gate.

I will say I’ve never been asked to show at Disney World for these types of tickets. They usually email the ticket right away and it usually asks to assign to one of your family or friend members as soon as you purchase. Then you should be able to scan right into the park with your magicband.

There is the risk of course that this is outdated or Disney decides to change it.

I've bought discount tickets to the water parks with my DVC discount and we just scanned in at the park. No id was required.
