Aeroplan to Disney

Did the buddy pass load?....might still get the cibc as it has buddy pass to. We want flights to hawaii. More points the better
Edit: already answered. I'm so slow!

No buddy pass yet sighhhhhh.

You would still get the 20,000 points and First Year Free from CIBC though.

You could get another buddy pass from the "business" or "premium" (Visa Infinite Privilege) lines if they are offered.

Thank you for that...good to know..buy could still get the 20000 welcome miles for each card?.
Still learning this, used to do AM, but that has taken a dive lately. So looking at this and already do pcpoints. So plan on getting AC gift cards with pc. Also will get costco gc to use on car rental.
Heres hoping it falls into place.
Are there Air Canada giftcards at Loblaws etc.? I didn't notice that! :)

@mort1331 I would double check with air canada about the gift cards for flights.

I had vouchers I used for flights and I could only use two forms of payment for my flights: vouchers and then credit card for the balance since the vouchers didnt cover the full balance.

You would need one or two gift cards to cover the full amount. You wouldn't be able to apply more than two at the time of purchase.

Yes, my wife and I each received a CIBC and TD and only received the Buddy Pass from CIBC. Conversion to 30,000 points took about 1 week to load after calling Aeroplan. Still received 20,000 points from TD but no Buddy Pass.

Has anyone used aeroplan miles towards an all inclusive with AC Vacations while still using a travel agent?

Can we use miles towards our payments or do we need to apply them at the beginning only?

And I guess similarly, can we apply multiple AC gift cards as we pay off the vacation?

I just booked my oil tank purchase for the end of July. So that, plus a tank of new oil and I am getting our furnace cleaned now versus waiting until fall, will run me $3000 on my fancy, shmancy new VISA lol

This td viaa is a PIA..never had issues with cc before. Not to boast but our credit rating is very high. Wife got her card,,no issue. Im now back and forth with the bank for 3 weeks now. Now they want to see tax returns. Crazy..will be flipping this for cibc as soon as i can.

I don't have a lot of aeroplan points (miles?) I did use some last year to get a gift card at Christmas time, I hope to earn a few when I fly in December, and apparently I can earn them at Starbucks now? I hardly ever go there, lines ups have been a bit crazy during the pandemic, but perhaps I will go there for coffee again. Most of the ones I have were earned from doing surveys.

I got the oil tank replaced yesterday and bought a tank of oil for a whopping $2800 total and charged to my VISA.

I think I read that the Buddy pass expires after one year (correct?). If I convert it to the 30,000 miles, do they expire as well?

Where does the Buddy Pass show up in my Aeroplan account?

How do I convert it to points instead (30,000)?

Log on to Air Canada first and search for flights, the option to use the Buddy Pass will show up above the available flights. I just got the pass added to my account and it says it expires on Dec. 31, 2022.
I'm not sure about the points.

Yes, the buddy pass expires one year after issue. If you convert it to 30k points, they do not expire.

When it gets issued to you, the buddy pass shows up in the benefits tab in your Aeroplan account: https://www.aircanada.com/aeroplan/member/dashboard/benefits

If you want to convert it to points, you need to call Aeroplan.

How soon should I expect to get my second 10,000 bonus points for charging the $1,000 in the 3 months? I definitely hit that last week, but it hasn't been added to my account yet.

Not sure what brand of card you have but I believe mine posted within a couple days of the statement end date.

TD Infinite Aeroplan VISA

I will just keep checking my Aeroplan account.
TD usually takes three months from what I've seen, while CIBC is usually shortly after the statement posts for the period in which you hit the $1,000 spend.

EDIT: Sorry, I was thinking of the buddy pass, not the second 10k points. The points should show up a day or two after your statement.
