I will just keep checking my Aeroplan account.

Ours hit the same day we got our statement,,,now the buddy pass has not showed up yet,,,still waiting for that.
We are hoping for Hawaii in march and using the pass for that,,,hope the numbers there stay down.

Did anyone open a TD All Inclusive Bank account when they were offering the 10,000 aeroplan miles for opening it ?? How long did it take those miles to show up ??

just checking as never flown with aeroplan yet,,,to pay the difference between points and flight cost, can I use a combination of air canada GCs. I have a ton of pcpoints and thinking of buying the AC GC with them,,,,I know cant purchase direct, but put one in with my groceries then pay with points..no issues there. Just will AC accept the cards when I use points, and multiple cards? Thanks

When using a gift card or voucher, you can only use TWO forms of payment for a flight. When I purchased our Florida flights, I used a voucher and then the remainder on my credit card as the voucher didn't cover the full cost of the flight. I had to book our two flights individually so I could use both vouchers.

You would only be able to to use up to two gift cards and they would need to cover the full amount of the flight.

My buddy pass from my new TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite finally showed up in my account. I called Aeroplan this morning and converted it to 30,000 Aeroplan miles. Reminder that if this is part of your strategy, the deadline to call to convert the buddy pass to Aeroplan points is in November.

I think the regular Aeroplan rules apply. As long as you keep your account active, all good.

Thats the deadline to change to points,,but to use the pass is one year from gettong it ..corrext??...hope to get ours soon and book flights to hawaii for march

Yes that's right! When it posts you can click on it and it will show you the expiry date. Mine was September 15, 2022.

Well that was easy. Got mine converted. Rep said there weren’t very many in the system right now so I should see the points this week.

She also confirmed for me that any adults linked through the family sharing still need to make one purchase every 18 months to keep their points, even though they are all linked and I have an aeroplan VISA.

Thank goodness I just made a purchase through their estore for DH’s account, just in case.

When I called Aeroplan just to inquire they said I had to book my points,,then call Aircanada to book the passes and cash..WHAT???? and how does that get done and have 4 seats together?
Any help is appreciated. Still have time as last pass has not shown up yet.

You can only use the buddy passes in conjunction with a paid ticket, not an award ticket. In other words, you have to pay for two tickets (base fare plus taxes/fees) and you can use your two buddy passes ($0 base fare, but you pay taxes/fees). Or, you can convert each buddy pass to 30k Aeroplan points, then make an award booking for your four flights.

You cannot use a buddy pass if your are using points. To be able to use a buddy pass, you need to have one paid ticket, not award (read: points) ticket.

You can purchase Disney Gift Cards but I don't think tickets are available any longer. I guess a gift card isn't too dissimilar than a ticket I guess.
