My window hasn't opened, but I'm pretty sure A&E will be gone before I have a chance to try for it. If so, what are the wait times like for them at Rope Drop?
Unfortunately, my girls are 4 and 2 and my 2 year old is Elsa obsessed like every other little one.
We are prepared to wait, just not sure how long. Maybe 30 minutes???

Are you booking 30 or 60 days out? For what week? I just booked last night at 60 days (ck in Nov 13 depart Nov 22) and got A+E with a choice of times. I made sure to try that one for my last MK day I also got 7DMT twice during the week. I think I could have gotten A+E on an earlier MK day as well but didn't try.

Good luck

I booked last night and am also checking in on the 13th. But, we are leaving on the 18th. A&E was totally gone. I am hearing that unless your trip is a week or more, you won't get A&E. If you have a week, go directly to the last days of your trip for A&E. That being said, we went in May and did not have fast passes. We were in line at rope drop and waited about 20 minutes. When we were through, the line was over an hour at that point.

We did the rope-drop to A&E thing on a Saturday morning in January. Waited less than 20 minutes and then did Cindy/Rapunzel in less than 10. Wait time was up to about 75 minutes by the time we were done with A&E.

Agree with previous poster. On our last trip we did rope drop at MK 3 times. Note that rope drop was actually closer to 8:45am than 9am. 75% of rope drop crowd is headed to Fantasyland, with the vast majority headed to 7DMT (going around by Mad Tea Party) and the smaller A&E crowd going straight through the castle. We waited 20 minutes for 7DMT at rope drop, I imagine it would be similar at A&E.

60 days out.. yea!!
Our trip is Nov. 28th - Dec. 4th (really Dec. 3rd since we aren't going to the park on our check-out day).
I'm hoping availability will be there, but no counting on it as a definite :)

I'm so happy to hear of the great rope drop times ya'll are getting for them. I don't mind waiting and we'd try for the late visit, but my two year old will likely be asleep by then. Looks like rope drop is in our future. What time should I arrive to make sure we are near the front of the pack? There are so many MVMCP's going on that week, so not sure what day would be best. One of the party mornings or one of the other mornings???

When my 60 day fast pass window opened up there was nothing left for Anna and Elsa. My plan was to go during rope drop to try and see them. I checked several websites to figure out the best way to get to the front of the line (even planned to ditch the stroller at the hotel so I could maneuver easier through the crowds with a 2 year old). Yesterday I decided to reorganize my entire trip and after selecting new fast passes for each day of my trip, I finally managed to get a fast pass for A + E. Keep checking and don't give up! Especially in the upcoming weeks because there will be guests that decide to cancel their trip and their fast passes will be up for grabs.

On our last trip, we were shooting to get there around 8:15am or so.

As for which day would be best for MK, good question, the general consensus is that MK is less crowded in the mornings on party days. The thinking being that people without party tickets who want to see fireworks will go to MK on non-party days. And a lot of people with party tickets won't be there at rope drop. That first week in December should be lower crowds. If I was trying to guess the morning when MK will be least crowded that week, I would guess Tuesday 12/1 or Thursday 12/3.

However, there's no way of knowing whether you'll be able to get A&E or not. November guests who are currently having trouble getting A&E/7DMT FPs are dealing with Free Dining and Food&Wine in addition to parties. Your week should have lower crowds, you might have better luck getting A&E FPs, especially is you're online at midnight and start looking towards the end of your trip first.

You make several great points! Maybe not all is lost... yet...lol. I will keep trying for the Fastpass (since it would make our lives easier) should I not get one. I will let ya'll know if I get one when my window opens on the 28th at Midnight :) <fingers crossed>

Not sure if I can post this here directly or at all, apologies if I am not supposed to, but do a web search for "The Dibb Fast Pass" and they have a calender with FP availability. IMO you will def want to aim for your last full day.

In the end if you can't get them all together on line you may have to call and have them overlap your FP+'s so that you can all go in together. In other words you could get one FP for 11:00a to 12:00p, a second for 1115a to 1215p, a third from 1130a to 1230p, and a fourth from 1150a to 1250p. Between 1150a and 1200p you could all go in together.

Thanks for the tips!

Go the morning of a weekday MVMCP. If there is a MVMCP scheduled the day after an EMH, that will be your 'sweet spot'. The park is a 1 or 2 crowd level the week we are there on MVMCP days in early December. Get to the turnstiles at least 30 minutes before rope drop. If you want to be in the very front- more like 45 minutes- but 30 should be plenty if you are going before Christmas week. This is an older post- but shows time elapsed pictures of how the crowd grows before rope drop during a busy week- obviously it wouldn't (or shouldn't) get this bad if you are there before Christmas week. It also has a lot of good information in it and a You Tube video with a 'you are there' feel to it. You would just use the advice to get to AE instead of 7DMT.

We made a last minute trip last December, and didn't have a FP for is, so we did it at rope drop. DD and I walked as quickly as safely possible and the wait was 20-25 minutes. DH and our boys and the stroller met up with us after, since it was faster for DD and I to make our way there alone.

Our plan is to hit rope drop on the 1st which is a party day if we don't get a fast pass. Crowds are predicted to be lower that day compared to any day of our trip; our dates are pretty close to yours.
