Advise please on new printer

We need to buy a new printer this week and need some advise. I haven't bought one in probably 5 yrs. We have a 4 megapixel digital camera and I may want to print an occasional picture, but mostly use it for cards, letters etc.

?Anything I should know? What to look for/ask about

Check out the Cooking, Crafting & Scrapping board on here. There's usually quite a big of discussion about different printers. I just bought a Hewlett Packard and absolutely love it!

I bought an Epson Stylus Photo 900 for myself, then turned around and immediately bought one for my daughter. At under $200, this is an incredible printer!

We just bought a Lexmark 5150 and really like it. It only cost $120 at Target. It has 1200x4800 DPI, scans, copies and faxes (thru our PC, not stand alone). I think it is a great deal.

We were looking at the HP 2510 because we wanted to add it to our wireless network but reading reviews and comments from owners, it seems like the software isn't quite there yet. So we bought this one as an interim, a year or two printer, and then with luck, the wireless problems will work out and we will upgrade.

DH came home with a hp psc 2400 yesterday I love it does everything but cook bread.

Another vote for the Lexmark 5150. We got ours a few months ago and I think it does a great job. I print my digital pictures and they look great.
