Advise and wisdom needed

Ok, we just got back from WDW. We have decided to buy into Saratoga at the DVC. We took the tour and fell in love with whole idea.

Any advise or words of wisdom; wish you knew before you signed advise?

I'm so glad we bought two years ago...no regrets, and we are taking our very first vacation "home" (at SSR) in less than 48 hours. Can hardly wait! I think this will always be something very special for our family of six...the kids and I have had a blast planning our vacation for the last two years. And to be honest, once you've stayed in DVC quarters, I think it would be hard to go back to regular old hotel rooms. Love that in-room washer and dryer!

Seriously, I'd talk with your financial advisor, and if it's a "go"--and you plan on visiting a Disney property every year or two--GO FOR IT! You likely won't regret it!

Have the contract split into multiple contracts in case you need to sell one down the road or if you have kids that you are wanting to inherit it. Once you buy a contract it can not be split into smaller contract. Disney is the only one that can split contracts when they exercise ROFR.

I don't know how many points you are planning to buy, but don't buy them in one huge contract. For example, if you want 500 points, but 2 contracts at 250 each. If you have to sell one down the road, it'll be easier with smaller numbers.

Thanks so much for the advise! Keep it coming. I will look into splitting points that is a good tip. We are thinking about starting with 200. I personally want more LOL but the finacial advisor says stop there!
