Advice on preferred room

My husband and I are planning a Sept. getaway with no children. We usually stay at a Deluxe but since it is just the two of us, we have booked 6 days at All Stars Movies. We have booked a preferred room. Does anyone have any advice about getting a room closest to the food court (should we request it before or during checkin)? I looked at the map and some of the preferred rooms seem quite a distance from the fc.
