Hi, we're going to WDW in July, and are staying off site.
We have got the 14 day ultimate ticket.
We were wondering if we went to TL one morning, whether we could leave the car there, and use the buses to visit the other parks. I know with the ultimate ticket we get free use of the WDW buses, but our worry is that if we visit one of the water parks first, then use a bus to another park (leaving the car in TL's car park). What happens if the other park closes later, would be still be able to get a WDW bus back to TL later?? Do they still run buses, even if that park has closed??
Has anyone have any experience of this??
Thanks
Tracy

I believe they only run buses to destinations until around 1 hr post closing. Not sure how you would get to your car after that. Have you thought of leaving your car at DTD and taking the bus from there since all the DTD buses from the resorts go to TL as well during the day.

Hi,

We usually park at DTD as we find that the daily parking charges really add up. :sad1:

DTD is open until the small hours, so its a perfect base to leave the car. :yay:

TL is within sight/walking distance of DTD anyway.

Never had any problems with doing this. :rolleyes1

I dont think this is a good idea :confused3 . If you have a car.. why not drive to each park? DTD parking is always so full that it makes it diffiult to find a parking space if you want to go and shop there - now I know why!

You only pay one parking charge per day - and in the general scheme of things its only about £5 per day.. so it hardly breaks the bank.

I think if you park at MK and then want to go to Epcot you can take the bus or the monorail pretty easily, but I dont agree with parking somewhere to avoid paying the parking charges. People who go to DTD need those spaces - and not only are you taking the spaces from DTD away, you also are taking up spaces on the buses you dont need to.

Sorry if this seems harsh, but your actions have a knock on effect on other people.

Thanks for all those posts.
I agree, the parking charges are negligable.
It was just a question to see if it was possible, not to avoid paying.
Our main priority is to maximise our time at WDW (as we are playing golf on 6 of our 14 days there), and having used the WDW buses before, thought it would save time, using them to get to another park.
We certainly wouldn't park at DTD, then walk over the road to TL!!!!!
Think we'll probably drive to our next destination.
Thanks anyway!
Tracy

I think in your case Tracy, taking the car would be quicker - and much nicer. Plus you can leave wet swimmies in the car etc

btw, I wasnt suggesting you were parking to save money... i knew what you meant! :)

Thanks for that SammieG, I think we were thinking along the same lines.
