Hello guys, I need a little help. Since my wife would like to see disney world and I'm thinking since we're there we might as well see all 4 but how much time should I allocate to see all 4 and will they be an appropriate choice for us? Considering we like fast rides? We're in FL for a week and any other suggestions, hints are very much appreciated. I've only been to one park in FL and I belive it was Universal (one with superman ride :p )

Thank you,

Phil

Hi Phil and welcome!
I know LOTS of young couples that love Disneyworld! And I know you & your wife would enjoy each of the parks... for different reasons. As adults you could probably do each park in a long day, with the possible exception of Epcot (there is just so much to see).
Each park has several 'fast rides' or at least adventure rides, and a lot more to see and do that you would probably enjoy. Magic Kingdom has Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, & Thunder Mountain Railroad. Epcot has Mission Space, Test Track & Sorin. MGM has Rockin' Rollor Coaster & Tower of Terror. Animal Kingdom has Dinosaur, Primival Whirl and by March 2006 Expedition Everest. But there is SO much more... live shows parades, fireworks and lots of other fun things to do. My husband and I enjoy the parks as much as our 9 year old.
Do a little investigation on the WDW website on the attractions and ask questions on this board and you can get a pretty good idea of what specific rides you'll like and then go have a great time.
You mentioned Universal... we just got back from Florida and did Universal/Islands of Adventure in one day. There are rides but not much else. To me they seems almost barren compared to Disney parks.
It was just a few years ago we didn't think Disney was something we would enjoy that much. We thought we'd take our son once... but we loved it! And we've gone back twice a year ever since. It is one of the few places on earth where you can really forget there is a 'real world' out there and relax.
Do it! And don't wait 'til you have kids! There is a lot for adults that we haven't even gotten to enjoy yet... wonderful restaruants, and "Pleasure Island" filled with amazing clubs and fun just for adults!
Happy planning!

Welcome!

DH and I have gone to WDW every year since 1999. We are both in our early 30's and do not have any children. We have a BLAST at Disney. We usually plan on a park a day and then take the rest of the vacation to go back and do things that we missed or want to do again. As another poster mentioned, it will take you 2 days to completely tour Epcot if you want to do EVERYTHING. We usually arrive at park opening and tour Future World then around 3 we head to the World Showcase and start our trek around the world. Since we've been there before we pick and choose where we want to stop. While you won't find alot of 'fast rides' at any park you have to remember this isn't Six Flags. Disney has it's own way of doing things and once you experience the level of service (not to mention the pixie dust) you'll start comparing all other amusement parks to Disney. In 2002 we took a side trip to Universal, we only stayed a half a day and keep remarking to each other, "well, it sure isn't Disney!". We ended up back at the MK for the rest of the day.
So YES you will enjoy it, just know going in that you won't be going from roller coaster to roller coaster. (Although we have been known to ride Big Thunder 4 times in a row.) If you need the thrill rides plan on going to IOA one of the days of your trip.
Have Fun!
