Hello all.

My mom currently owns 100 points at SSR.
My sister and I are only associate owners as I was still a minor when she bought.

My sister and I are wanting to own DVC as well, and tie it in with my moms (she is ok with this).

I know she can always add us to the deed, which costs around $500.

We are also exploring a few more points since we've gotten older and can travel on our own.
If my mom didn't add us to the existing deed, could she purchase a direct add on via Disney for 25-50 points and include us only in that deed for now?

No. To be an add-on, the contracts must be titled exactly the same and have the same use year.

What would the minimum direct buy then be at say Saratoga or Old Key West?

You can just buy a contract with 50 points and title it however you want with whomever you would like.

Also, you are not limited to OKW or SS. You can buy anywhere they have points available even sold out resorts.

Hmm,
We might look into doing the 50 before the change occurs. If not, should my mom re-do the deed to include us, we will still get cards even tho she purchased it resale back in 2009?

Given her small contract size and since you are all apparently OK with the risks of a shared contract, I'd change the title then consider a retail add on contract. You can change the deed for around $40 doing it yourself or $175 to get someone else to do it for you.
