Advice for split day - Water Park and Epcot

Originally I planned on taking DD5 and DS4 to breakfast at Akershus at 8:15am, then knock out the major rides in the morning when crowds are lower. I thought we'd stay at Epcot until around noon or 1 (to fit in the characters and sites of World Showcase), then head over to a water park, and if they want to go back, head back to Epcot that evening. But I am worried I might be wearing them out, especially since the day before we have BBB at 8am at MK and a full day planned there including MSEP and Wishes. We are staying at Wilderness Lodge with our own car so we would drive to Epcot and they normally are early risers, but I know Disney will drain them so not sure if they'll like waking up at their normal early hour. So now I am wondering if I should try to get an Akershus dinner reservation instead and go to the water parks when they open at 10 and are less crowded, and just do Epcot in the late afternoon/evening. We do not have an early day the following day and this is our only Epcot day. How late will characters be around at World Showcase? We will be there during F&G. What would you do? TIA!

Hello. I think Epcot am/pm with water park in the middle is a lot. With kids your ages that would concern me. I like your second option which Is going to watermark and closing down Epcot. However if characters are real important, that might not be as doable.

So you can try Epcot am, go to water park with the idea that after the water park your kids might be done. If illuminations is real important to you, then that might not happen


Or I would go with plan b. sleep in a little. Water park. Illuminations and akershus at night. For what it's worth, I really like akershus dinner.
