Advertising free dining when sold out?

The only dates I could not pull up for Values earlier today included the range 8/26 to 9/02 and 9/13 to 9/17. If I tried date ranges around those dates.. and elsewhere in the booking period, I could pull up values.

And then later today, ASMo came up as available in that date range 9/13 to 9/17, when yesterday, three days ago, and even earlier today it was not. Whether it was a cancellation or a block of rooms made available or just what.. I don't know. But suddenly there it was. It's gone again now.

The rooms available on this promotion are very fluid. Just because they are not available today -- doesn't mean that will be the case tomorrow, or whenever.

We all like to think of things like this in terms of black and while.. Sold out or not.. But with Disney -- there are few black and whites when it comes to promotional offers.

I know for a fact that August 31 is sold out (free dining only) at PC. I'm waiting for that date to open up so that I'll have 2 reservations instead 4.

Right now I have to check in and out 4 times during our trip.
PC 8/22-8/26 paying for dining plan
PC 8/26-8/31 free dining
PC 8/31-9/1 one night room only
PC 9/1-9/4 free dining

Your experience agrees with my post. I indicated that any date range that include 08/26 ~ 09/02 would come up with no values.

I was checking the website this morning 7:00ish AM and there was availability for PC for your dates. Only preferred rooms. I put in Aug. 31 to Sept. 5 and Pop and Movies both came up available. Hopefully you checked this morning and got what you were waiting for.

I agree it's been a bit more difficult this year. Last year we booked the second week of May and had no problem getting the Pop, or any value for that matter, for the week we wanted. This year we were stuck with our third choice ASMu, but hey, at least we got free dining! Even if we dont' eat all the food it's what makes it affordable for us!

We may try again for the pop, but we're still happy we got anything in our price range!
