My understanding is the first round would not be notified if they did not advance due to the numbers but the second round would be notified even if they do not advance since the numbers are a lot smaller.....

I don't sleep! Seriously, I only get 3-4 hours a night. I moderate on a forum, do the Moms Panel, make custom children's clothing, own a tea website with my parents, volunteer at a nursing home and my daughter's school...jack of all trades, master of none! I have no idea why I overextend myself like that, I just can't stand to not be busy!

I've been reading through every page of this thread, getting more and more excited about the ever so slight possibility that maybe, just maybe, I might find out that I am one of the lucky few to move along to Round 3.

If I'm not, so it is. It has still been such a pleasure getting to read the posts of the current Moms Panel (all of whom have done such a wonderful job these past many months) and the many others who have been so excited about their work.

Best of luck to all of the Round 2 hopefuls. I know that you must all be as eager as I am. I'm envisioning a panel full of DISers!

This may have already been posted, but just for reference I looked at the dates on the emails I received last year. The deadline for round 2 submissions was Oct 24 (a Wednesday), and I got an email saying I was on to round 3 on Oct 26 (a Friday). The phone interviews were scheduled that weekend - I believe I got my call on a Sunday, and I know we were at the pumpkin patch! My interview was on Tuesday Oct 30th, and the phone call with the final results was Wednesday Nov 7.

Not that the timelines will be the same, since this year more applications were accepted and the panel is bigger, but at least it might give you something to think about to occupy a few hours while you wait!

so you found out the same week, two days later if you made it to round 3? That's not good then since I've not heard anything. But, you also mention the weekend and time frame for round 3, so we SHOULD hear by Friday.

Wow Heather, I didn't realize we were contacted so soon after round 2 last year. I just checked my old emails (actually, they are part of my shrine!) and you are absolutely right with the dates. Didn't it seem like we waited forever?! LOL The only difference in dates for me was with my phone interview was scheduled for the first day - Monday, Oct 29.

If you go to google there's a tab at the top that says "other" (I think) and "blogs" is one of the search options. Put in Disney Moms Panel and a couple of them show up. That's what I did and came across some brilliant, good looking women who are very busy! Good luck! And yes, I am really sick of waiting, too. Hang in there everybody. I bet we hear (or don't hear) tomorrow. Anybody care to place a bet? Nothing on the line, you'll just get to say you were right . I'm going with tomorrow at 2pm. Here's to good news!

I was right when I said October 7th the first round would be notified...can I go 2 for 2?

The Year of a Million Dreams has been a special time for the members of the WDW Moms Panel. From our first meeting at Coronado Springs, to the tour of Cinderella’s Suite and meeting Meg Crofton, to recently cheering each other on in the Expedition Everest 5K, it’s been a year of possibilities. And yet, the magic continues!

I am honored to be sharing this fantastic news with all of you. One of our Disney Moms begins a magical journey today when she enters Disney World’s Casting building to start her first day as a Cast Member!!

Disney Mom Laura will be given Alumni status on the WDW Moms Panel when she is given her coveted Cast Member pin.

Laura will go through Traditions training today and then begin her new role as Social Media Manager under the directorship of Leanne Jakubowski, the Social Media Director. Laura will be overseeing the WDW Moms Panel and the Mickey Moms Club.

This is a dream come true for Laura!! Last December, Laura told me that it was her dream to move to Orlando and work for Walt Disney World. Isn’t it amazing that from our enchanting endeavors on the WDW Moms Panel that another dream is taking flight? It gave me chills when the news was announced at the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. And I’m all teary-eyed and overwhelmed with emotion as I imagine her first day as a Cast Member.

Dreams really do come true!

Laura and her family are settling in to their new world which has included a date night at the Boardwalk, ice cream with family in Celebration and her daughter’s first week at her new school.

As Laura embarks on this journey, I wish her faith, trust and pixie dust. Hopefully, she’ll send us all a picture debut of her wearing that special Cast Member pin.
