The Year of a Million Dreams has been a special time for the members of the WDW Moms Panel. From our first meeting at Coronado Springs, to the tour of Cinderellas Suite and meeting Meg Crofton, to recently cheering each other on in the Expedition Everest 5K, its been a year of possibilities. And yet, the magic continues!
I am honored to be sharing this fantastic news with all of you. One of our Disney Moms begins a magical journey today when she enters Disney Worlds Casting building to start her first day as a Cast Member!!
Disney Mom Laura will be given Alumni status on the WDW Moms Panel when she is given her coveted Cast Member pin.
Laura will go through Traditions training today and then begin her new role as Social Media Manager under the directorship of Leanne Jakubowski, the Social Media Director. Laura will be overseeing the WDW Moms Panel and the Mickey Moms Club.
This is a dream come true for Laura!! Last December, Laura told me that it was her dream to move to Orlando and work for Walt Disney World. Isnt it amazing that from our enchanting endeavors on the WDW Moms Panel that another dream is taking flight? It gave me chills when the news was announced at the Mickeys Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. And Im all teary-eyed and overwhelmed with emotion as I imagine her first day as a Cast Member.
Dreams really do come true!
Laura and her family are settling in to their new world which has included a date night at the Boardwalk, ice cream with family in Celebration and her daughters first week at her new school.
As Laura embarks on this journey, I wish her faith, trust and pixie dust. Hopefully, shell send us all a picture debut of her wearing that special Cast Member pin.
These lyrics from Remember the Magic come to mind:
The feeling that our hearts could just take wings
We could live out all our dreams
The journey there was never far away
But like a dream come true
That's still inside of you
The secret of tomorrow is
To live your dreams today
What will you celebrate ? --
Join me in celebrating this momentous occasion and sending congratulations to our own Princess
Laura!
