OMgoodness! It is a crazy thread these past few days. Congrats to jennifer on baby Evan-how wonderful! My Dsis shower was today for her baby boy, Gavin! he will join the world around the cusp of Oct/Nov.
After today-he will be well dressed-so cute! My whole family has girls(both sides) and we have 1 boy, 8 girls- already- with 2 on the way, one being Gavin.

As for our family, we have bumped our trip to WDW up again and we are now leaving.... TOMORROW @ 10:30am can you believe it. Maybe this hurricane thing is not so bad after all. Or, I lost my mind along the way. Nevertheless, I'm taking all three kids alone (first we are staying at the Poly) and Tues we are transferring to AKL where the rest of the family will meet us on Thurs. We will then spend a few days in the parks and on Sat we will participate in the EEC. Wish me luck, I'm praying that I don't loose my mind before my DH arrives. I don't know when I'll be able to check in again so I'll see some of you at the race.

Oh, so you can spot me, I'll be wearing a brown running skirt and an orange tank.

Hey everyone! I asked someone from another thread that if Mickey handed out balloons on the street after the media event in NYC. She said he did. I looked at the photos and I don't see him handing out balloons to the children. Does anyone have photos of Mickey handing out balloons on the street?

I just searched some threads from last year...looks like October 17th e-mails were sent notifying those that went onto the next round. So, if that's the case for this year then we less than a month to wait, and wait.......

I need a quickie update so I can catch up.

Evan Patrick was born on Thursday, September 18th at 11:47am. He was 8lbs 2ozs, and 21.25 inches long. We came home a day early and are doing great. I only pushed for about 5 minutes and out he came.

I was there. Mickey did hand out balloons, but his appearance in Times Square was very brief (crowd control issues). I tried to get an actual photo of this, but it was kind of a mod scene, so I couldn't get close enough. A few lucky kids who just happened to be there did indeed get to hug Mickey and get Celebration balloons.
