I read on Leanns blog that she was reading more applications. I think they are reading them as they are entered.
I saw that, too!

About the "Mom" Panelists
Disney realizes that the person who serves the "Mom" role differs from family to family. These "Moms" have been selected to be panelists because they have demonstrated an excellent knowledge of Walt Disney World® Resort. Being familiar with the Parks, Resort hotels, dining and entertainment, shopping, and recreational activities, they can offer the help and tips you need to make your vacation planning a snap. At this time we are not accepting any new applications to be on the Walt Disney World® Moms Panel.
Ooooh! Check out this quote:
"Inside, designers have made sure to emphasize the views that they hope will ultimately make Bay Lake Tower one of Disney Vacation Club's most sought-after resorts. Rooms will contain nearly wall-length windows that open to views of the Magic Kingdom or Bay Lake. Some bathrooms will even have sliding walls allowing guests to watch fireworks while soaking in tubs.
'It feels like a Tomorrowland building,' Hanus said, alluding to the section of the Magic Kingdom that the tower overlooks."
That's wild!!
This is on the "about this Forum" page for the Mom's Panel. It may explain why the App process isn't closing.....

Maybe those applying just have to be "in the know"....it could be part of the screening process
I doubt that you have to be "in the know"...being on a discussion panel or spending all day searching different blogs does not make you an automatic Disney expert. And why would they not post it on their website, they did last year. Maybe they are just keeping it open because they are throwing out all of the "bad" entries!
Well, I think things have slowed down a bit...in fact, I think things have come to a screeching halt! Might be a good time to take on the 'comfort food' subject!
My comfort foods (no real recipes needed!):
- Grilled Cheese
- Tomato Soup with Ritz crackers (crush 'em up and let 'em soak)
- Mac and Cheese
- Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches
Of course not all at once...and of course all comfort food is better when served by someone else (like Mom or DH).
Hopefully this topic will get our mind off of:
- I wonder how many apps were received?
- I wonder how many have been read?
- I wonder how many are in the YES pile...and how many are in the NO pile?
- I wonder if they read my app yet?
- I wonder what pile I'm in...or will end up in!
Have a great day!
I may be completely wrong here, but I think that PolynesianPixie was simply poking fun at the fact that Disney hasn't yet updated that part of the Moms Panel web site...![]()
And since -- after all -- the site still says, "At this time we are not accepting any new applications to be on the Walt Disney World® Moms Panel,"
well ... then nobody must be adequately "in the know."![]()
Oh! Someone brought up food!
I'm excited that it's that time of year again when it's really fun to cook. I really enjoy putting a roast in the oven or making chicken and dumplings. And I think I've finally perfected steak. The trick is to use a case iron skillet and throw a little butter (and veg oil) in the pan. Makes all the difference in the world.
Now, back to thinking abou those applications . . . . .
Love it, she cracks me up!
It's corny, cheesy and I too loved it! She is so funny. But I have to admit, I'm as giddy as she is when I'm at the parks!![]()
we r home our house is here no power but we r still better off than someJulie, ya know anything about your home?
Glad you are all safe.
