I found all of the nitty-gritty details about the Moms Panel application and interview process extremely satisfying. Plus, RatBoy answered one of my biggest questions: "How many people progressed to the second round of the application process?" (I actually sent an inquiry to that effect to Duncan and Leanne after I received notification that I didn't make it to round three of the contest. I never did receive a reply. Then again, it wasn't like they weren't extremely busy at the time! )

Learning how few people actually made it to round two [a little more than 100 out of 10,000] makes me even prouder of my accomplishment. (Then again, the revelation was sort of bittersweet, too. So close, yet so far away... )

Anyway, I look forward to reading the second installment of RatBoy's article. (And, of course, I'll be checking out the new site on January 7.) Don't worry, Colmenares3, if you forget to post the link to Part 2 of the story, there will be plenty of curious people -- like myself -- to remind you!

Great article Bret!!! Brings back a lot of feelings, good and bad. I too am glad I entered and am proud of making it as far as I did. Who knew just how stiff the competition was. You guys have fun with it and I see you there.

I just really wonder what is in store for the future. Did they ever mention to anyone what the plans are for the Moms panel? I am so curious about this! Was this a one time thing or is it something they plan long term? I know I have asked this a million times (maybe thought about it a million times..ha ha!) but the curiousity cat has gotten the best of me! The ladies/gentlemen planning this whole thing sound amazing, positive, exciting and fun! Hearing about them has really impressed me and I haven't even met them!

Thanks to all of you for letting us virtually tag along with your experience. This has been a really special place!

Bret, not that I had any doubts before, but I can totally see why you were chosen. Your responses were concise and articulate while conveying the necessary information. It was fun to relive the process through the article, especially the part about only about 100 entries made it to round 2! Wow! Now I really feel honored! I had no idea, I was sure it was probably about 1000!

I'm looking forward to the second part of the article and to the launch of the panel in a few days!

I think this is all a work in progress, and much of it is in the hands of the public (yeah - you guys!!).

How many questions and hits will the site get?

What kind of feedback does Disney get?

This is new territory, so no one really know the exact answer. I hope it is very successful, and it ends up getting expanded, but who knows what will happen...
