WOW that was so great to read! I am so happy for all of you who got to participate in this! And thanks for sharing the photos Bret!!!

I was awfully tempted to apply for that, but we were already going to be in the world Nov 27- Dec 3rd... I knew I couldn't swing being away so soon.
BUT HOW COOL for you guys! And it looks like such fun!

Hi! Just wanted to pop in to say-
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for the wonderful trip report and photos. I am supposed to be getting packed & ready to leave tomorrow and I am sitting here reading all about your trip, I should say experience, as it was much more than just a trip. It sounds like you all had a wonderful time. I can't wait to see how the panel works out in January. I really better run cuz I'm not ready to go and we have to leave at 5 AM.
ps- Merry Christmas to all, in case I don't get a chance to say so later. Happy Holidays to anyone not of the Christmas persuasion.

I think Bret may be wrong about the DVC thing. I know for sure that Heather1 and I are DVC owners. But I was pretty sure I heard one other person was as well (Beth maybe?). My home base is WL.

Meg Crofton had on the most beautiful suit I have ever seen. Great shoes, perfect hair, jewelery, makeup, etc. 100% pulled together. She was so friendly to us. Very charming.

Thank you so much panelists for the fantastic reports & pictures! I am so envious. Last weekend I actually had momentary thought about "I could have been in Florida right now" but I got over it and moved on...but now I see the pictures & the report I'm so not fine with it! Totally envious, yet incredibly proud of all of you!

So any hints as to if they are really considering other avenues for the rest of us that are dying to be you!?!

I don't, but I also doubt any of us would feel comfortable posting that. Even though we aren't Disney employees, I still wouldn't want to upset the "boss."

I am fairly certain that in the future Disney will use our group photos with her for publicity purposes. Hope you don't mind waiting.

I'll probably forget something, but this is what I recall (almost everything had a "Moms Panel" logo):

- Jacket
- Refrigerator clip/magnet
- Mickey ears hat (mine was black and said "Dad", the rest were pink/"Mom")
- Pirate Mickey ear hat (not sure what the gals got)
- Tall square post-it note stack
- Watch (yes, with the logo )
- White visor
- Finding Nemo Musical CD
- Small notebook
- Mickey-shaped metal basket

I'm sure Erin will swoop in and correct me, if I missed something!

Well, if you insist . (Clearly someone has to keep Ratboy in line ).

The base of the gift package was a Mickey-shaped metal tray.

My basket included (and I'm assuming all were the same except for Bret's) these items emblazoned with the Moms Panel logo:

Pink Jacket (Blue for Bret)
Mousepad
Post-it sized notepad (I don't think there was a notebook in the basket, but there was a training binder later)
Magnet-clip
Pen
White visor
Watch (cool!)

Also:

Mickey ear hat with "Mom" on the back (they were ALL black Mickey hats not pink Minnie hats)
CD of the Finding Nemo show
Pink "Pirate and Princess" ear hat
A small keepsake pillow

It was a most excellent swag bag!

I forgot about the pillow, mousepad, and the nice version of the pen (I thought that was in the training material, but now that you mention it, I think you are correct - of course!!). Forgot that your Mickey hats were black. I do think there was a notepad, because I think I see it in my photo (really should have taken a photo of the stuff, once I opened it. ).

So, I didn't do too bad from memory.

Hi guys! I'm so jealous! I applied and didn't make it past the first round...but I really should've. (Like everyone else here who didn't make it! ) But big congrats to those who did! And thanks for letting me live vicariously through the pics and descriptions! I still can't believe they had 10,000 entries from people who would really be online that much. My question is what would motivate the panel members to go online every week? I'm an internet addict, so I answer questions on the DisBoards because of my addiction , but are the panelists compensated in anyway other than the dream trip?

Wow, thanks for the details on the swag. All of that great stuff will be great to hang on to and probably be worth something down the road. Priceless at any rate, considering how you got it all. Something neat to show the great grand kids someday!! Any close up shots of your jackets?
