Well, I think Erin must have just finished a shift as I just read through quite a few of her Q&As. Great job!! Are you guys getting tired yet? You are approaching 500 answers already! Are you still in the soft opening or will there be an official opening?

Bret - I read your response for Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor...I loved the show as well. But I assumed they used the same text message jokes....sounds like they don't? I will have to have a joke handy next time...did they actually use one of your jokes?

Overall, I think the panel is a huge success...I just think one of the moms needs to slow down a bit and check her answers. I think the panel would be even better if it were more interactive but maybe that is the next phase.

I agree. Wasn't it supposed to be something like 8 questions answered a week or something? One mom is over 10 times that amount!!!

As with anything in life, I'd take QUALITY over QUANTITY any day!

Much of the show is different every time, I think (I only saw it once, so far).

No the joke I had wasn't used, but it wasn't very good. That was one of the reasons I decided to include some better ones in that post.

By the way, did you notice the best joke about that post? Re-read the first paragraph, if you get a chance. Get it?

I didn't post any answers over on the Panel today, but I did finish Part 2 of my Moms Panel training article. Should be sent out (and posted) in Magically Speaking soon.

I just received the book that Kara suggested. WDW Trivia!!

My son hasn't put it down yet, tons of info and questions with multiple choice answers, we're having alot of fun with it.

That is a GREAT book! If you order them off Lou's site, he normally has a 2-for-1 deal, and he'll autograph them.

We keep ours in the cars, and my boys are constantly quizzing me and each other!

Best books I ever bought, next to Stephen's Hidden Mickey books!

Seriously!! It looks like you folks have been some very busy panelists this week -- considering you've now already exceeded 500 answers. It almost looks like this is becoming a full-time job!

Just remember: If at any point you could use some relief, I'm sure there are plenty of people who would willingly pitch in and join your ranks! As dollhouse/Leslie stated earlier in this thread, "I was secretly hoping maybe the panel was in need of let's say...maybe 88 more panelists!!" (Realize, of course, that we -- or myself at least -- are only halfway joking! )

Are you still in the soft opening or will there be an official opening?

What exactly would a formal opening entail? Broader distribution of the press release to travel writers? Web banner ads in strategic places -- or at least within Disney's own web site?

One more marketing-related question: Did Disney reach out to your hometown newspapers with the announcement? (We don't have any local Moms Panel winners here, so there wouldn't be a story. However, if any of the panelists received local coverage, I'd love to have a link to your story! )

There are going to be contacting our local papers, though so far I believe only one of the panelists has heard anything from her local media. I can't wait to see the story!

Wow..you guys have a ton of questions coming in! Great job.

How are you balancing this? Do you schedule a block of time/per day or what is your "supposed schedule"? I am just curious. Talk about job flexibility! The great thing is that you love doing it and I am sure it doesn't even feel like a "job" per se just pure fun! Not like you weren't doing it before..ha ha!

Anyway..I am really excited to hear what the founders of the panel are thinking about the progress,etc. I got a call to help a family plan their trip today and I helped a little and also directed to the site. She was so impressed that Disney did this. I think some people get leary of "unofficial" Disney things! This is direct through Disney which I think is just a bonus! The only thing I think of on the down side is you are going to get an unhappy person after their trip that states..."I did what the Mom's panel told us to do...."You know you can't please everyone and specifically SOME people! I wonder how they are going to handle that. I hope it doesn't happen but it probably will because some people are never satisfied! I am sure Disney thought of that as well. Does anyone have any thoughts to that?

The site will get some wider promotion in the coming months. That will be the end of the "soft" opening.

I am not balancing. I was having so much fun this week that I ignored my regular life. Playing catch-up today with laundry, groceries, etc. Actually it was some of that and some multitasking. The family watched a movie last night and I answered questions while it was on b/c I had already seen it. I'm sure once the novelty wears off, my post count will not rise nearly as rapidly.

Also, I have to spend a bit of time this week packing for my trip to WDW. I'm leaving Thursday for a trip that was planned almost a year ago. I feel so guilty/weird about going when I was just there a few weeks ago. (But I'm sure I'll get over it.)

Wow - I think that is cool Erin. I bet you are the first Mom on the Panel back to WDW.

I am sure each and every time from now on that you return to the World it will feel a bit different to you. Almost as if you are actually "part" of it now, if you know what I mean. I think that is great!

Are you planning to pop in on any of the CMs or staff that you met during your trip?
