Time for a bump!

One concern I have now that we've already got our costumes in order is that not as many adults will be dressed up on the earlier dates in October. (We are going on the 3rd.)

I hope we don't feel too silly.

We are going on the 3rd too and we are dressing up. I really don't care what others are doing. Look for the aging cheerleaders dressed in blue and gold! That will be my mom and me. They will just miss out on all extra fun of dressing up! We always go to the early parties and see more adults dressed up then not. Dress up and have fun!

Out of our party of 4 adults going on Halloween night, I am the only one who is going to be dressed up. I couldn't convince the rest of them.:sad2: BUT, I decided it's my birthday & I want to be Minnie Mouse for Halloween so that's what I'm doing. ::MinnieMo
I can't wait. :Pinkbounc

I plan on dressing up. I am going on the 26th and the 29th, once with just my son and once with family coming in later in the week.

My MIL is making me a Strawberry Shortcake outfit so I know I will wear that one night and to Pleasure Island on Sunday. I am not sure what I will wear for the halloween party the other night but I think something different.

There was a perfect Captain Jack Sparrow last year. voice and all. could be a twin. by all means dress up it makes it more fun.

I say dress up!
This year, DS (2 months) will be Mickey Mouse...for Dh and I, I made T-shirts and we will wear ears...we usually dress up full costume, but this year, we are just going to do halloween-y T-shirts and ears for us...

Last year I was Mulan. I even had a girl run up to me and say, "Mulan!" except I was wearing my glasses! I think she was a little disapointed! :p

The year before, I went as a part of a Mickey Mouse club bowling team. We wore Mouseketeer bowling shirts that we bought at the Disney Store back in '99, and I had on a poodle skirt. I found these treat bags at Target for 99 cents that were black and round (looked like bowling balls). Had to have something to put my treats in!

don't know what I will be this year, but I will be dressing up. Going on the 29th this year, instead of Halloween.

We are going on the 3rd and all 3 of us are going to dress up! I'll be a Pirate pirate: , DW ordered the Evil Queen from Snow White :wizard: and DD an angel . We are really looking forward to it and don't care if we look like dorks. We'll be dorks having lots of fun and making the whole experience a lot more festive and memorable!!!

Go for it!

DD, DH & Myself are dressing up. DD & I will be Pirate Wenches and DH is going as a Jack Sparrow wannabe.

We are getting our costumes made, (if the person doesn't get washed away with one of the hurricanes). The costumes are great and I can't wait to add the little extras we bought to go with them.

DH got one wig the other day and we all couldn't stop laughing:rotfl: It was hysterical to see this short, fat white boy with this really black long hair. Even he had to admit it was funny. He is looking at a little different wig, closer to his own hair color.

We'll be there on the 29th. So if you see a pirate with two ladies trying to keep their composure and not laughing, that will be us.

What kind of a poopyhead doesn't dress up for a Halloween party??? Dressing up is a MUST!! We'll be there on Oct 22 --probably in full pirate garb.

I have a question - we will be there on October 24th - can anyone tell me how hot the weather will be? We roasted this weekend in our pirate garb, and may change costumes, depending on how hot the weather will be. Also, how much will the temperature change at night? I mean, in August at the Jersey Shore, it could be 90 during the day, and you need a sweatjacket at night - is it like that in Orlando in late October?

Help?

Thanks much!!

AdventurerKat ..
That is really brave of you to go in costume to the Adventurers Club ... I know you will have a blast. My husband and I love that place and it is so much fun to get "picked on." We will have to go on Sunday just to see you as Strawberry Short Cake ... oh what will they think of to say (can't wait.)
We are going to Halloween on the 26th too ... me as Mini Mouse and my husband as Jafar.

We have been twice in October, and it was still very warm!
DH (batman) was quite warm in his costume! But he still had a really great time, and wouldnt have changed a thing!

We are going on Oct. 3 and I can't wait!!!!

We are all dressing up. We are going to be the 50's group of t-birds, a pink lady and two poodle skirt. My dd and I will be the poodle skirs. my dh, ds and db will be the T-birds and my dm will be the pink lady.

We went in 2002 and went as a family of witchs and wizards. We felt a little silly at our resort but once we got there it was great. We didn't even notice if other adults were dressed up, we were having too much fun.

I may have felt silly at first, but I have a picture of the four of us together doing something as a family and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Dress up if you want you won't regret it. Just wear something cool and comfortable shoes!!

We we're sure about dressing up last fall - and then were amazed at the amount of people who really got into the spirit of things! Wearing costumes makes for a great family photo! This year (Oct 1st) we'll be two pirates with a little Hook (our 6 yr old DS) - can't wait!

Not going to any MNSSHP but I will be looking ridiculous over at PI on Halloween night. So will everyone else, so no big deal.

Whoever had the little Aurora and was looking for costumes - what about Aurora's parents, King Stephan and Queen Whatsherface (not sure she had a name)?

If Dad really wants to do it up he could wear an owl mask (if it isn't full face, they don't allow that... face painting maybe?) and the Prince's cape, hat and boots and stick a couple of stuffed rabbits out of the top of the boots and do the forest dancing scene.

I dressed up as Minnie last year and had a blast. I wouldn't hesitate to dress up, even if no one else did. Hey, you're in WDW! :) On a daily basis, people walk around in silly hats. :p The cast members love it when the adults dress up. We got lots of compliments on our costumes. I was going as Minnie again this year, but the ladies in our group came up with a fantastic idea for us. So we're all dressing up as something else. (it's a secret) ;) If you're there on the 20th, you'll find out. We're going to look so cute! :-D :-D

Going as much as I have, they pretty much have stopped picking on me (but pity the people I bring with me that they DON'T know because they are prime pickins!) but i am sure they will have something to say about the costume. Particularly if a certain Otis is working. :)
