Where would you go for dinner with no kids? We enjoy a quiet atmosphere, melow music, a bottle of wine, good food and each other
We can permit ourselves an evening without kids our daughter will be 13 (very responsible) and can babysit.
Jiko! Great service and atmosphere The food is outstanding as well! Plus you can wander the AKL grounds before and after your meal and watch the animals.

Another vote for Jiko. Ask for a table near the window for a little more privacy. You can catch the storytelling after dinner and then learn about some of the animals from any of the animal keepers situated at the various lookouts on the property. You can even catch the animal viewing with night vision goggles if you are there after it gets dark. Also, all sorts of neat stuff to explore in the AKL lobby.
We love Le Cellier. Have never tried California Grille but I hear it's outstanding. And maybe you could time it that you finish dinner just as Wishes is about to start.
Le Cellier does have booths tucked away in the corners, plus it's fairly dark in there, ingredients for a romantic evening. Oh, and the food, it's good too!!
California Grill would be a great choice, with the bonus of being able to watch Wishes (if you time your ressie right), from the outdoor viewing area.
Flying Fish (on the Boardwalk) is a favourite of mine. After dinner you could walk over to the BC/YC area, and snuggle on one of the beach swings.
California Grill was great and we had a PS for just after the fireworks so we watched them from the viewing area. Mind you CG was quite expensive for 5 of us it cost my wife and I a little over 400 US and that was only 2 glasses of wine and no other alcohol. 2 glases of wine were her mom and her dad they each had a glass the rest was just the food it was great mind you but quite pricey.
