WDW 2nd timer here. Last time we had free dining. This time we won't...

Can you make an ADR at, for example, Ohana, if you're not going to the parks or staying on property?

Also, at a TS, non-buffet, can you order just, say, a dessert or do you have to order an entree?

Can you split entrees?

This is all OOP, not on a dining plan.

You could enjoy the resort restaurants without staing on property or going to the park. Except for buffet/family style, you could share your food.

We are off-site at Christmas but have booked several ADRs. Not going to the parks everyday, but DD is dying to show other family members AKL so we're booked in for dinner at Boma. Can't wait!

Oh, thank you! I'm so happy.

And we don't have to order entrees, yes?

When can I make ADRs if I'm not going to the parks? Is it still 180 days out?

Of course ...

As with any restaurant, you can order whatever you like off the menu

Can you split entrees?
Yes, we actually do this quite frequently. We usually tell the server "we'd like to share ..."

Going to the parks has nothing to do with ADRs - and yes the earliest you can make an ADR is 180 days

The only difference is you don't get the +10 perk that you would get if you were staying on property. In other words, it has to be 180 days out for EACH reservation, not just your first one. :thumbsup2

The only benefit on site guests get is the 180+10 rule when booking. But if you aren't going to the parks, you shouldn't really have issues with that. The resort restaurants tend to book up much later, if at all. Disney will gladly take your money regardless of where you are staying.

You all are the best. Thank you for the info!

Now I have to figure out the best places to go. We have one night before our cruise that I thought would be fun to have dinner at one place and dessert at another so we can try out two different places. We live on the west coast so I thought we'd better use our time well because we may not get out there again for a few years.

I do not have anything to add to what the others said in that I think they answered you perfectly. I just wanted to say enjoy picking out your restaurants and have fun!:goodvibes
