OK, so now I'm getting worried. It's been down for what, 14 hours now? What kind of failure can't be restored in that time frame? So, they obviously don't have a redundant system but what about backups, disaster recovery? This can't be good. Wonder if the magic bands are working yet in the parks?

If it's not fixed by tonight, and we have to compete with tomorrow's guests too, I plan on calling and getting a compensation of some kind. Although with all the issues today, I'm sure the wait to talk to customer service will be never ending

I never even thought this could go into tomorrow, and we'd be competing with a whole extra day of new check-in guests arriving on the 21st!! Any one have any inclination that the system will be up and running tonight?? Please?!?!

Nope, they have no clue when it will be up. It's much more than just the dining reservstions. There are all kinds of issues going on. What I don't understand is why they don't completely shut down the site so it can get fixed. I'm about over it. If I can't get the dining we want then we are cancelling. The dining experiences are are huge part of our trip. It's not the food, but the experiences and I refuse to go an eat fast food burgers all week long.

I doubt there will be a compensation, but I too am going to talk with someone. I already sent an email. It won't do any good, but at least I voiced my opinion.

Exactly that. Those special dining experiences are one of the major highlights for my kids. It's a HUGE reason we go to Disney.

Something like this is a catastrophic failure, it's not just backups, but the schema for the database as well.

Does anyone know if it's more difficult to get ADRs Thanksgiving week than at Christmas? Did I make the wrong decision by taking us at Thanksgiving this year? I wasn't really worried about it but now with this crud going on all day, I'm freaking out about it all.

We had free dining last year thanksgiving week because we checked in the Thursday before. A lot of people did. We had absolutely no problem at all getting anything. We got BOG, CRT, OHANA and more.

I volunteered to do ADRs for a friend who has to work tomorrow morning 11-7am. Her window opens tomorrow. Boy what did I get myself in to? She wants all the hard to gets too!! This is nuts.

Just scored Ohana for thanksgiving dinner.....keep trying folks. I called a cm and they told me it wouldn't be fixed until tomorrow at 6am. I'll be up all night it looks like.

We really enjoyed Tusker House on Thanksgiving too - that's what we are going to do again this year as well if we can get in - grrr. 16 hours of checking every 15 minutes or so is getting VERY old!

I am trying for 'Ohana the Tuesday of Turkey day week - wish me luck!
