Hi I'm new so if this is in the wrong place pls move it.

Calling all Disney experts! I'm starting to panic about the timing of things. We're going to Disney in September(free dining) and I have a 5:00pm ADR at Spoodles and a Wishes Cruise(leaving from the poly) at 8:00pm. I was planning on 1-1 1/2 hrs to eat then 1/2 hr-45 mins for transportation back to the poly. Also my IL's will be meeting us for dinner so we'll have a party of 8. I picked the earliest ADR I could hoping that we wouldn't have to wait long to be seated.

The Wishes Cruise is a birthday surprise for DH and my oldest DD. So I haven't told anyone about it yet.

Will I be cutting it to close time wise? We've never done ADR's before we've always just winged it. So I've never really noticed how long things took in regards to eating & transportation.

Also the Wishes cruise I booked doesn't have the music piped in. Will it still be better than watching Wishes from the beach at the poly?

Any advice/input would be greatly appreciated!

TIA!

First, welcome to the DIS. Enjoy. :cool1:

Do you know how you are getting from the BW to the Poly? No direct bus from one to the other.

Our family did a MK fireworks cruise, when it was Fantasy in the Sky (before Wishes) and it was great, an enjoyable cap to the evening, we had dinner at the Poly luau before it.

Thanks for the welcome!

As far as getting there I was thinking we could take a bus to epcot and catch the monorail. Is there a better way to get to epcot from BW? Last time we went (4 years ago) we didn't go to Boardwalk so I'm not sure how far it is from everything. Or would it be better to take the bus from BW to the TTC? :confused3

As for time, it is quite a hike from Spoodles to the monorail. :faint: Especially if you are watching the clock. I would say 30 minutes or so, if everybody was moving along. Then if the monorail is there waiting, another 10 minutes or so to the TTC and then the walk from there to the Poly marina. Only bus, I think, from BW, would be to MK itself, then a boat or monorail back to the Poly.

With your time constraints (people do under estimate the time it takes to get from place to place at WDW) I think I would look at taking a cab, or two for your group.

Anybody have any other thoughts?

You might ask this on the Transportation board also.

Dan,

Thanks for the info. I posted the question on the Transportation board.

If all else fails at least we can take a taxi.

Thanks Again!
