So, is PSD the only restaurant that they aren't booking right now? I am so relieved to have made the ressies I have, yet cannnot be totally releived until they are all done. I am staying on property March 21-28 and wanted PSD on the 27th. I keep getting told that it hasn't been loaded into the system yet, but to keep checking back. Something I came across was a list of restaurants for the 2009 dining plan and Akerhaus (sp?) wasn't on the list yet although it did mention something about more additions to come. Could this be causing the problems??

I have no idea but this is the only ressie I'm waiting on too adn I REALLY want it. I Hope they hurry!

FYI, I spoke to a wonderful CM in the interary planning office this morning and she said that they had recieved an email stating not to make an ADR's past the 22nd. She said that any that had already been made would be cancelled out of the system. She they expect the go ahead very, very soon and that they are as frustrated as the guests.
I made CM ADRs for end of May does this mean that I no longer have these and that I have to wait until my 90 days to reserve this again?

There will be no change to current reservations in the dining system. (Per the info from the Disney Employee Intranet FAQ)

We were told that, for whatever reason, PSD is not activated for 90+10 but will book at 90 days from the ADR date. So according to that, you will be able to book on Saturday 12/27.

we made adr's this morning for boma breakfast on monday, march 23 and kona cafe dinner wednesday, march 25. no problems with booking or getting through at 7:15 this morning.

I was able to make all of my ADR's for the end of March without any problems this morning and was able to get the time slots for all but one (wanted Tony's Town Square at 6:30, but they are closing up at 5:45 so I got a 5:30 instead). What I was happy to hear while calling Disney Dining this morning was that the automative did not say anything about not being able to book past 3/22....:cool1: :lovestruc . I guess Disney wanted to wait and give us all an early Holiday present :goodvibes

Happy Holidays to everyone of you DISers out there.

I had worked myself up to phoning for 1st trip ADR's for 180days.

Now we will need to hang on a bit longer :)

Will follow this thread with interest. Many thanks for the sticky :thumbsup2

Just called and made all of my ressies through 3/27/09. When I first called the CM said I could book thru 3/24 but then she suggested we "keep trying" to book the rest of the days--and it worked! Yea. No more stressing about that! Thanks to everyone on this post for all of your great updates and info!!:flower3:

We are arriving late in the evening on June 6. Do I calculate the 90 day window from the arrival day or do I need to start from the 7th? :confused3 I know we won't have any ADR's for the 6th since we arrive around midnight.

We're arriving the same day and my understanding is that you calculate 90 days from that date (even though you're not getting in until midnight - you're still paying for the room for that night just like me), then have the 10 days additional. When I called for CRT and CM I called 180 days from June 6th. I think our 90 day window opens up on Sunday March 8th.

We were just having this same conversation. We arrive late on Friday night, and stay at POFQ, and then check in on Saturday to the VWL for 8 days. I am undecided as to whether I should call 90 days from Friday or Saturday. I know in the past I have called 90 from our first ressie when we have split ressies, just want to be sure everything works out right for this trip.:)

Princess Storybook Dining is now open! I just booked for 3/23 but they took my credit card info. Is that normal or new???

Have to say that I like the 90 day system. It used to be that way, and it worked out fine. Never was sure why they went to 180 days.
Now to just wait until the end of Jan so I can make my mid-April ADR's.

Yipee!! I just got my ADR for March 27th!! I am so happy now! I can enjoy Christmas Eve! Thanks Nikki for posting. I probably wouldn't have called back today!

I was calling to cancel something so decided to check if it was available. I was doing the happy dance when seh booked it!

where does it say 90 days from CHECK IN. i thought it was 90 days from dining date. most times, 90 days from check in and dining date are the same date but there are some occasions where you may not have a sit down on arrival day. in some instances, that missing out on calling on the right day can make all the difference in getting an ADR.

It has to do with Disney's policy (which has always been) +10 for resort guests.

Disney has always 'held' tables to release at exactly 180 (now 90) days before dining dates, in an effort to be fair to everyone.

Their official (internal) policy is...

Q - What is the booking window for Guests with future resort reservations at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel?

A - Effective December 23, 2008, the timeframe for booking dining, recreation and tours experiences will transition to a 90-day window and add an extra 10-days to the booking window to accommodate for future resort reservations with arrival dates at the 90-day mark.

I've always done my ADRs 180 (of course, now, 90) days + 10 from check in date. Most times, that is also my first dining date, but not always. We arrived/checked in past midnight at WL one year and still were able to use that checkin date as the start date for ADRs. So, while I'm not sure that it says it anywhere, that's always been what I've experienced.

I was telling DH about this last night and said "You know, we all thought Disney was having these horrible delays, but really, they knew what they were doing all along - shrinking the window."

He looked at me dumbfounded and said "You thought Disney didn't know what they were doing?!?!?!"
