With this new system, will you be able to make ADRs Online 90 days
out or do you still have to call Disney Dining by phone?

I know that you can now check in your resort online but is there any word on whether or not we'll be able to make online ADRs?

aw man! i just tried to call to get CRT for May 15. After holding forever :lmao: someone came on the line and he said they had the time that I wanted! we started to book it then he asked if he could put me on hold again. it was about 10 more minutes and then he came back, apologized and said that he could not make the reservation because it has to be 90 days in advance. I asked if that was for every restaurant and he said he had just checked with is manager, and yes, that was the case. I just got Chef Mickey's yesterday, but today, nada. I should have done it the other way around :rotfl:

It'll be interesting if this becomes the 'trend'. That would mean that the CM's were actually following the rules set forth for them! :rotfl2:

Bummer that you didn't get it tonight though.

So I just called back this morning to see if I got someone different and if they would book CRT and they did. I got the day and time that I wanted. Though I had to prepay. I know that before they took a credit card to hold, but I wasn't prepared to pay up front. Oh well, at least I got in. Weird..... :confused3

It's been a prepay for awhile now. The good thing is, it'll feel like a free meal when you're finally there enjoying it! ;)

And congrats for getting that booked!

They make you prepay unless you have DDP. THen they just take a CC guarantee....or you can do like me...i'm undecided on getting the plan or not, but i said i have it just so i wouldn't have to prepay. they don't check, then you just have a cc guarantee.

We went in December 2007 (cant believe it was that long ago) so we were booking in June 2007. We had to prepay then, so yes it has been a while that they have done that.
You must be happy though to have that out of the way. Hava great time.

Actually they should have done it the first time you called up because until 6/19 you can book CRT, Chef Mickeys and V&A 180 days out. From 6/20 on it is 90 days. I booked CRT back in December for my June trip.

Remember that this is only because those dates were loaded onto the system before the 23rd December changes, and thus they still seem to work. The official communication to CMs just stated the rolling 90-day rule, with no mention of CRT, CM and V&A as continuing exceptions.

So any CMs who refuse to do it are only following their rules correctly (even though the system is still technically capable of taking those bookings if they try to do so, as we all know!). So not so much rules as guidelines, it seems. :)

Ah, obviously the issue has been noted by Disney in the meantime. The new CM information says that reservations for Chef Mickey's and Cinderella's Royal Table can officially be made through June 19, and effective from March 22 the booking window for both locations will be the standard rolling 90 day period. No idea why V&A isn't mentioned though.

First, thanks for this thread. :) Been following it, but am wondering, OK, OK, maybe a dumb question, but does the 90 day window ALSO include things like the Hoop dee doo review? I'm asking, as if memory serves me, these types of events were able to be booked over a year out in the past?

We are not traveling till June, but are just about done putting our plan together at this point. Thanks!

It also includes Hoop dee doo

We are doing a big family gathering and going from Oct 10-17th this year.

We have 12 people and booked via a travel agent in town that our family has used before.

That said, we were told we can not make ADR's till 90 days out now?

We have our confirmation numbers and with party of 12 wanted to get our adr in right away.

Anyone heard of this change before?
