ADR or Walk Up for TRex?

Can I vote skip it? :goodvibes

I'm just kidding, kind of. Just make sure you really want to eat there and know what you are in for before you go. Both the DIS and WDW Today found the place almost unbearable loud, and I have to agree. The food is not great either but if you are eating there it is for the show not the food. If you know what you are getting into and want to eat there I would suggest walking up only because coordinating getting to DTD at a certain time is a bit of a pain, especially if it is a park day. If it is not a park day maybe the ADR makes sense.

DH and I love the place even though it is loud. We thought the food was good especially the dessert "Meteor Bites". That's why I was wondering which was better. We did walk-up last time but I didn't want to stand in the long lines later in the day if I could do an ADR and it be quicker.

After watching the super long line while we were there at the mid/end of August, put my vote down for an ADR. I was so glad we had one!

We love T-Rex! Be aware that the portions are HUGE! We share two entrees between the 4 of us and there is more than enough.

If you know for sure when you want to eat there I'd make an ADR. The walk-up line gets VERY long and an ADR will save you from that wait.

If you can't get an ADR through the WDW dining reservation system call the restaurant directly. They only release a small percentage of tables to the Disney line but you should have little trouble booking directly through the restaurant.

Enjoy!

We were there mid-July and walked right in (around 3:30-4pm), by the time we left though, the line was out the door.

We really enjoyed the food.
yes, huge portions. SHARE things.

Will be eatting here next Sat night and cant wait, I called restaurant directly and made an ADR.. I guess it must be more popular than RFC I have gone to RFC twice and just walked up, both times with a minimal wait..I never was impressed with the food, went for the kids..

T-Rex was awesome. I call them directly 1-407-828-8739. They full up quick

I bet if you go at lunchtime, you can just walk up.

Try the ribs there. They are super yummy! :goodvibes

Hi everyone
I just called T-Rex directly after calling Disney for over a week trying to get an ADR for this place for October 3rd and he told me they had any time I wanted available, so I picked 8:30 and he said, Ok, I have you down, your last name is your confirmation?????

That is correct your last name is your confirmation when calling direct to Trex.

When we were there in mid July I called to make an ADR and the hostess said that any time before 6 you could probably walk in but after 6 there is a wait. We loved our meals there and would return again.

Do the ADR. We went there for lunch and had an ADR. They were a little confused at the recepiton desk and thougt we were a wlk up. Even though the resutarant was not full they told us the only place we could eat was at the bar area. The bar area is nice but quite frankly if you have kids the rest of the restuarant is more entertaining. If you are just adults you can wing it...lf you have kids I would make the ADR. :hippie:

I think T-Rex is one of those Safari Club Restaurants, like RainForest Cafe. You can join the club ($10 annual membership), and they you receive priority seating when you walk up.
